Hello everyone, I was playing a tournament a few days ago for the Main Event on Sunday. Now what my problem was ( Can't Find HH ) we were HU blinds were every 15 Mins and I had a chip stack of 39k and he had a chip stack of 36k ( I just lost 15k from Bad beat) ) Now, the player in question was a fish, or had been during the time of the tournament, but when at the finale table he was folding a lot and when at bubble he was playing veerrrry loose. Now I was taking into account at the bubble on how he was playing.

The hand panned out like this

I had 8QS I min raised he called. Flop was JJQ now he checked I bet 3/4 pot ( Pot was 8000 ) he raised I 3 bet him and he shoved, I called he showed AJof

Did he play that badly? remember he was playing loose during the tournament and calling very loose all ins also. or did I play that badly and need to re look at my HU play?

I dont know why you ask if he played it badly.

Are you expecting him to fold trips on the flop?

As for your play, pre flop is fine. I would maybe bet a little smaller on the flop.

However, I personally think you should be able to find a fold here OTF

I cant think of a hand you beat that he raises that flop with. His raise basically tells you he is going with the hand.

You lose to almost every Q that he calls PF with and any random jack. You have to hope he has exactly k10 for his line to make any sense and you to be ahead. Even then k10 is unlikely to raise you OTF
