Hero (BTN/SB): t12790 M = 21.32
BB: t710 M = 1.18

Pre Flop: (t600) Hero is BTN/SB with 6 4
1 fold

I find myself in this position quite often. Wizard says push. Is this right knowing he is going to call and probably has better than 6 high?

Now lets say the stacks aren't so lop sided. 9500 and 4000 and blinds are 250/500 Wizard says push every SB in heads up. Do I do this knowing he is going to catch on and call with anything?

Let's do some math.

There's 600 chips in the pot already. Assuming that villain is calling 100% (which isn't quite true, I've seen folds to shoves here before), there's essentially 910 chips in the pot, and you have to "call" 510. You have to win (510/1420) = 35.9% to be breakeven, and 64o is 38% against a random hand.

This is a shove. You should only fold 72, 62, 52, 42, 32, and 43 offsuit here, and that's if you KNOW villain is calling 100%.

Have you ever heard about the SAGE system for HU play? That should be helpful when you find yourself in this kind of situations. Just google "the SAGE poker system"

Oh, I forgot about this.

Having been an HUSNG player for most of my poker career, this may be THE best thing to learn for STT HU situations, given the blinds are usually huge once the tournament is down to two.

EDIT: SAGE says this is a fold, actually. You have a PI of 16 and 17 is needed to put one more BB in the pot. In practice I am still shoving, though.
