i think he just mashed the pot button OTT. seems an odd line to take, anyone doing anything but jamming though?

meh spot readless but BvB i would get it in here.
QQ+ should 3bet preflop, JJ/TT prolly as well. 77 made quads but.. turn is a good card for us since it reduces the chances of him having a set as well.
JT/89 could play this way and i would expect it to see most of the time in case we are behind.
they show up with all kind of junk here as well, so dont fold because of the idiot factor.

AF? Spot seems weird, can't put villain on a hand so it very well could be air. People will disagree, but I would just call here and snap off a river shove since you have no FE against his draws, but will miss out on value vs his bluffs.

If he was going to raise his FD/SD he might have done it OTF, and even if he doesn't why OTT after you've shown strength by nearly potting it two streets.
If he flopped 2P he might raise OTF but probably wouldn't raise it OTT either after filling up or possibly having been counterfeited by an overpair.
Mashing the pot button OTT with 97/87/98 doesn't make sense either. Air does
