I shove really wide in spots like this because I feel my fold equity will diminish greatly once the blinds hit me. Would shoving this hand be a mistake, and in general, what range should I shove here? I think no one is going to call me down light except maybe the small blind so everyone should fold most of the time. Wiz says shoving is -EV but it's not as -EV as letting the blinds hit me, right?

What if the blinds were 300/600? Shove ATC?

At BB400 and BB600 I shove ATC in these spots.
Did you adjust the calling ranges in wiz? If you set them to ~7% for SB and BB this should be shove even there....

I'd be terribly surprised if you could make this a Wiz shove with the table on 5% and the BB alone on 7-8%.

With everyone at 5 but the big blind at 7 it's -.65%. BUT folding and losing 680 chips when the blinds hit us is much worse than -.65%. I'm not sure exactly how much worse, though. I mean, we could fold through the blinds and pick up a good hand and get it in trying to double up, and maybe that would be better, but we'll only have 5 hands to try to pick up a good hand and in my experience most of the time we'll be lucky to get something like A3o if we don't shove this, have our stack reduced, then shove one of the hands before we're in the blinds again. And we don't have much fold equity if we do that. The big stacks will certainly call down light if they're in the BB and maybe other stacks will too.

That said...what exactly should we shove here? I really struggle with spots like this. I fear I may be shoving too wide, but when I fold and try to double up in the next round it seems equally disastrous.

I think with the blinds this high, we are shoving ATC first in.

I would fold this. I think even with the whole table at 5% it's negative and i'm expecting their range to be higher than that in a $10.

personally not shoving ATC, i mean we still do have some FE after the bb passes us.

I think you can't shove here - just somehow not strong enough and 6 players yet to speak - could pick up a hand, and lets face it they're not folding a lot of aces and pairs. That guy wit nearly 4000 chips is gonna call with any pair, any A, any 2 broadways i would guess.
