I absolutely butchered this hand to the extent that I am embarrassed to post the rest of it. My question to you guys is this, how to play these weak top pair hands OOP. If I bet what do I do if I get raised? If I bet what do I if he calls and an over card comes on the turn? What do I do if an undercard comes on the turn?

For those curious as to why I raised this it was because I usually play to tight in these large stack tourney's. I want to improve my post flop play and loosen up my image to extract more value from my good hands and shoves later in the tourney.

raise is very good IMO...we need to be comfortable playing hands like this post flop and by doing it from EP we balance our range a bit...

I just C bet here 750...if raised I consider the amount...if I think he is just making a play I don't mind a shove here at all and I think we will get a lot of folds

I don't like being OOP with essentially a drawing/weak hand. The 3 stacks behind (that will have position on us) are only 40ish BB deep which I don't think is enough.. having said that I am a nit.

nits will often give us too much credit based on our EP open...I know that cause I am one and will easily fold AJ or KQ here...

same applys post...very often we will take this down with a C bet even if we don't hit..stacks are deep enough to C bet fold IMO

the turn gets tricky because there aren't really any good options, but I would fire again on most turns except diamonds, J's, and cards that pair the board but don't improve us. Turn bet like 1800 and fold to a raise despite getting ridiculous odds. It seems bad, but I like it better than check-calling or check-folding.

pre is fine, wen we have this big a stack we can raise wot we want and get involved and try and stack fish.

imo we have to bet this flop, it sucks wen we get raised but it sucks wen flop goes check check and an overcards hit the turn and we get action(or check betcall and he double barrels the turn) whether we are bet calling or bet folding is villain related(if he is fishy im getting this in almost always

if his stack was any bigger its a pretty easy bet fold unless hes a complete psycho.

if he calls im stacking of a lot unless some really gay card comes off
