Hi everyone,

First post in the STT forum. I've been playing LHE cash for a few years, but made the jump to STTs this year. Still learning the game, and would like your opinion on this hand.

PokerStars - $3.16+$0.34|50/100 NL - Holdem - 6 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

UTG: 63.45 BB (VPIP: 23.08, PFR: 15.38, 3Bet Preflop: 33.33, Hands: 26)
MP: 13.45 BB (VPIP: 5.41, PFR: 4.23, 3Bet Preflop: 4.76, Hands: 74)
CO: 18.75 BB (VPIP: 15.92, PFR: 14.38, 3Bet Preflop: 1.92, Hands: 162)
Hero (BTN): 17.05 BB
SB: 4.45 BB (VPIP: 11.90, PFR: 10.00, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 43)
BB: 17.85 BB (VPIP: 30.77, PFR: 16.00, 3Bet Preflop: 18.18, Hands: 26)

SB posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has J J

UTG raises to 2.5 BB, fold, fold, Hero ?

With 17BBs, are you willing to risk your stack with this hand? If not, would you just call and see a flop or get rid of it now?

Not calling this shallow and certainly not folding, I would just jam.

With the BB and SB's chips, you have 4BB already in the pot. Since that's already 1/4 of your stack, I agree with the person above me and would also just jam. If the BB is raising with the top 10%, you would have about 57% equity. I think 10% might be conservative for what he would be open raising with, too.
