Full Tilt Poker $1 + $0.20 No Limit Hold'em Tournament - t20/t40 Blinds - 8 players
The Official 2+2 Hand Converter Powered By DeucesCracked.com

Hero (BB): t1525 M = 25.42
UTG: t2430 M = 40.50
UTG+1: t810 M = 13.50
MP1: t1705 M = 28.42
MP2: t1450 M = 24.17
CO: t2635 M = 43.92
BTN: t1440 M = 24
SB: t1505 M = 25.08

Pre Flop: (t60) Hero is BB with 6 6
5 folds, BTN raises to t120, 1 fold, Hero calls t80

Flop: (t260) 2 3 8 (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets t130, Hero raises to t480, BTN raises to t1320 all in, Hero calls t840

In this case I made the correct play vs. the BTN because he turned over KcJc. Do you think I should have gotten away from the hand after the BTN jammed on me? How should I have played this hand different?

Either call or fold the cbet. You don't want to build a big pot with 66.

You fold this hand preflop dude.

When we're around 20 or so bbs, should we be calling with any hands, period? Is it 3-bet or fold?

I agree with folding 66 here, 77 I have a hard time laying down and am not sure whether I should call or 3-bet it.

Two ways to play it differently: Can fold it pre flop. Or if you want to set mine (marginal given raise size) call then fold flop when you miss.

IMO You and villian played it very very very bad. I mean, it's just a losing play in the long run. You should avoid these spots so early and control the pot size. That flop 3bet is only OK if villian is like cbetting often and if you have a good sample on him, but that all-in call was just terrible. Don't do that in the future.

Check-call the flop bet. Re-evaluate turn.

In general, if you c/r a cbet you should either have a hand you are willing to get all in or a hand you are willing to fold vs more action (i.e. a bluff / semi-bluff, but I would advice not making any fancy bluffs in a $1.2 since you will just end up pwning yourself vs stations too often). If you find yourself unsure whether your hand is strong enough to get all-in after a c/r, then you probably should have just check-called instead.

Without having a good idea about villains range and how they play postflop calling this preflop will be a losing play imo.
