Villain has been a maniac, involved in almost every pot and experiencing the expected volatility to his stack. He's built up and then lost a 1.5 million chip stack in the past hour. Also, importantly to this hand, he's been opening for 2.5-3.5x as a standard.

I've been looking to get into a pot with this guy and take the free money. But the 5x open has thrown me a bit. Questions:

(a) What does the extra large 5x open do to the villain's range? I think it suddenly narrows to TT+/AK: agree or disagree?
(b) How much fold equity do we have? Is villain calling 100%?
(c) How do these factors affect the hero's reshipping range? What hands are you shoving right back into this maniac's face?

I've seen 5x's about 3 times in the past 6 months. They were TT, AA, and KK. Yes, some donkeys like to 5x AA and KK for some reason.

I think fold equity is close to zero and reshipping range is something like QQ-AA, although I doubt I'm folding JJ/AK.

The 5x's I saw were from EP/MP though so your mileage may vary with CO.
