i wonder why they didnt change it for this week. Im not gonna play this week now as planned if next week the prizes are DOUBLED! Kinda sucks we have to wait a week.

I think the clear answer to your question is so that there's a sufficient amount of notice ahead of the first one.

yea but anyone with a $200 ticket would just wait a week, not sure what the incentive is to play this week then.

Pretty sure there's plenty of people who will just play both. Having a $200 ticket or $200 usd does not mean you can only play 1 of them. What are you talking about?
