i was wondering about this go around for gsss since last one they changed the rules on the fly making tiks must play instead of converting unused tiks to T$.
so i tried playing some sats today to see what was what...
I won a 20$ gsss tik to gsss event 4 in a 1$rebuy.
played another 1$ rebuy to 20$ gsss event 4. won it and instead of converting the 2nd tick to 20T$ i now have 2 "gsss event # 4 20$ tickets" in my ticket section. I cant use the extra ticket in any other 20$ mtts.
i understand (think its dumb but i can kind of get it) that sat tiks will be "MUST PLAY" but are they really doing away with converting double tickets won into T$ as well? and again not giving us the heads up? BOOTY!!!!!!
i remember months ago having unused tickets that wouldnt be converted to t$ and werent when the events were finished, but during that time duplicate tickets won were instantly converted to t$. i believe this was after (almost positive it was) after the fiasco of them changing the tix rules on the fly. before the on the fly fiasco they used to convert all unused tix and duplicates to t$.
i take it as this is the last step in them removing ticket conversion which i figured was coming. to me it doesnt make any sense -as the players will still use the t$ to buy in and its still potentially the same allotted promo t$ they budgeted to give away during the series (had they not made their guarantees.
i could see them being wary of many people just playing for tix with t$ to build up a big t$ balance and not buying in with real cash which would effect their cash flow liquidity somewhat. thats really an illusion as there are only so many planned sats running which means only xt$ to be distributed to the player pool.
how many players in their pool are essentially only depositing during times they could generate t$ using those t$ and cashing out the cash only to wait months for the next session? if thats what your afraid of than put an expiration date on the t$ of like 3-6 months.
it seems like your making the move with huds, software things to make it more rec friendly and so they can essentially stretch their money further but not converting unused tickets puts a huge damper on that strategy. especially if they won those tickets using cash in the first place. most of the recs/regs still around were probably around and remember the t$ conversion. maybe it wasnt how party poker envisioned as people found a way to exploit that to their advantage and not have to risk cash and deposit. the few that did potentially do are they really destroying partypoker nj's bottem line? i doubt it. if anything when they use those t$ they are making the mtt pools run deeper thus more attractive to more regs/recs. regardless of some of them being promo t$ its beneficial in the long run. besides all they did was make one bigger event potentially have one less entrant in which party still wouldve been putting up the cash.
for party to do what it seems they are trying to do they simply need to do away with all t$ completely. seems likes thats whats going on. and that is going to piss off more of your customers and deter new ones as well.
