Today was insane, played 8+ish hours, and for the past couple hours battled this reg on poker host HU on a few tables (was also playing 4 tables on bovada), ranges were WIIIIIIIIIDE, insanely thin value bets/range merges, sick floats, mind ****ing spots, just a ton of gross hands in general, I came out ahead taking over 10 buy ins after being down more than a few early on. And made a little on bovada.

I finally had cafe rio.... Bomb ****

There's a saying "better lucky than good", I've always hated it, now I can say I'd honestly rather be the lucky bastard who always wins.

I'm currently running 17 buy ins below EV on poker host, losing when I'm supposed to be winning, kinda tough to stay focused running that bad lol.

I've played over 10k hands in the past 72 hours so I'm running into a lot of gross spots, but come on.

Still winning on Bovada tho, running within a buy in of EV as of yesterday, praise baby jesus for that.

Welp time for sleep, might play the 6 max HPT/TV event tomorrow, starts at 5pm and it's across town so traffic will be a bitch, but who knows, the last 6 max event I played at TV JsTs and I were seated next to each other after a table broke and he kinda coolered me for a big pot (2p vs 2p BVB IIRC).

If I wasn't running so bad online I would, really want to but it's not looking good, would have to do really well at this thunder valley event or something.

In the HPT 6 max event on break 2, was doing really well had big stack, all plays worked running well, and got coolered in a spot I'm never getting away from due to stack sizes villain etc. Happy I'm still in tho, JsTs was playing super laggy, would've been fun to watch his opponents at showdowns etc.

Busted: Open JJ utg 5 handed to 1600 @4/800, player to my left calls, we have history he plays at a card room I frequent and is loose basically, old dude calls in sb bb folds, 356r, I cbet 3200 into 6100 dude on my left calls, turn is a 2c putting possible flush draw out, I check trapping b/c villain is capable of floating my flop bet with ace highs thinking they are good and a ton of pairs that I have crushed, and I feel he always bets just about his entire range when i check here with stack sizes (I had 10-12k or so), he fires 5k I jam he looks annoyed and calls has 55 gg donkament.

Running pretty sad online some more, only dropped a couple buy ins and my sesh wasn't too long, but it's pretty gross.

Example: 1/2 plo B opens I 3b AJ9Tddd he calls AQhh83, AJXssd flop I cbet, turn Qd I obv bet/call it off.

That and more annoying situations keep coming up, like I'll bet once or twice we'll get to river in spot I'll check villain will fire I'll hand read correctly call and villain will have non nut flush draw, but hit random set on river (that has nothing to do with the board runout). That happened earlier as well, sad face. =(

Did a sweat sesh w/ skraper, he was playing a few tables of 1/2 plo with a table of 3/6 nlh, pretty good sesh/ discussion of random hands/spots, was pretty fun to chat live, had to throw in some of my humor during the hour and half sesh too .

My play style is super similar to galfonds, although obv not as good, and im a little tighter on the B =).

Now running 20ish buy ins below ev on poker host, and 5ish buy ins below ev on bovada, wanna go jump off a cliff =(.

The coin could easily go the other way. With the run bad I'm going to make a couple adjustments to my current game: play a lower variance style when possible for results/to help my mind set, turn my hands into bluffs less often unless villain seems like a decent player and/or the situation really warrants it, and make fewer river calls, hand reading in plo is something that I excel at greatly IMO, but I'm finding myself hand reading a situation, and giving villains a bit too much credit in certain spots for being capable at bluffing rivers and I'm leaking with river calls.

Example: Hu 1/2 plo match on bovada last night: I open AJJ8 single suited, villain 3bs (25%ish very wide, he's not a good player and berated me in chat for stacking off in a 3b pot with top pair all live overcard kickers, standard stack off spot, so I agreed to play him hu for that fact alone knowing he'd be a weaker player), I call, 35dd8 I call a cbet, Q turn goes check check (pretty sure anyway), and he bets a sizable amount on a 5 river. It really looks like he has a missed draw, and it also looks like I had some kind of draw when I check back the turn, so I'm going to expect a bluff here a lot and call, but when a weaker player makes a bigger size in this spot I should give a little more credit for a 5 or some kind of value hand more often than not, unless I see a pattern with bigger bluffs I think I can fold here, I ended up calling and was shown Q4ddQ6.
