People need to come to this better product.
I like their tourney structure and nightly low-buy-in guaranteed tourneys, but if I'm going to be playing the same opponents as on UP (which is what it seems like now) I prefer the lower rake and superior rewards program at UP.
For WSOP to earn my cash game business, they're going to have to stock the pond significantly as I don 't expect much value from the rewards program and (for me) it will require significantly softer games to compensate.
I also object to their dormant account policy and expiring reward points as these are policies based solely on corporate greed and only deprive players of value rather than providing value which I believe should be their job in exchange for the revenue we generate.
UP works just fine for me and, frankly, I like those guys. I continue to believe that the majority of features absent from UP are in the pipeline and will be added to the product in time - I've been waiting for years to play online again, a few more months won't kill me.
Yes, I love a lot about the WSOP client (waiting lists, player tags & notes, better slider, the list goes on and on) but for me, all of these features improve the aesthetic of my playing experience but don't really do anything to improve my score and I personally don't want to pay more for what is, at it's core, an identical product (being able to play poker online). I'm reminded of being able to order a cocktail of choice in the Paradise Poker client for some reason - that was fun...
In any event, I'll continue to watch the action on both sites and I'm pretty sure I'll be playing the majority of my tournaments on WSOP but, for now, UP has my cash table business. I'm just a low-stakes guy so the 11% rake difference and significant shortfalls of the WSOP frequent player program make a real difference.
Just my two cents...
