For people who have missed the discussion so far, we're having a fixed limit, 5 card draw tournament this Monday at 10pm Eastern time. Buy in is $20.

All your favorite small stakes hold em posters will be there. La Peste, Paul Valente, ZOMG RIGGED and others have all signed up.

I'm in if I remember and am around, although skillgambler is right that 2-7 NL Single Draw is better (next time!).

thanks for the invitation, there are 2 problems though
I don't have any idea what 5 card draw is, I honestly have precisely zero clue about the rules of any poker game other than holdem and omaha hi
plus, I've requested a chatban on every site I play so you couldn't even catch me chat tilt
(and I've been doing zen meditation every day for like 2 months now, I hardly ever tilt more than about 30 seconds/week lately, even though I'm on a close to 500BB downer)

the intense game of 5 card draw involves:

1) get 5 cards
2) betting round
3) discard 0-5 cards, draw 0-5 more cards
4) betting round

best hand winds

I see your point but there's not much point/fun in randomly clicking buttons having no idea what they do and why

None of us really know how to play 5 card draw but it is probably the most fundamentally simple game other than stud. You get 5 cards all to yourself. If you like them, you can bet or raise, if you don't you can fold. Then you discard as many of them as you want. Then if you like your hand you can bet and if you don't you can fold. IIRC 2 pair+ is the nuts and AA and KK are pretty good. Now you know absolutely everything about 5 card draw that I do.

Yeah if this goes well we can play some other obscure games. 2-7 would be fun since it's going to be another game that very few people know how to play.
