So it turns out that 50/40 showdown stats are not profitable. Who knew?
10-31-2008 , 12:53 AM
Actually, that graphic bothers me more than dropping 50 BB.
10-31-2008 , 01:21 AM
Miles looks a lot like a guy I went to high school with that also played professional minbet for a while. Just looking at the new avatar, however, really makes me queasy and my eyes start to cross and do weird ****. Maybe I have an unknown form of epilepsy activated by spinny dudes on the interwebz.

For me the turn comes 3 and the river comes 4 and I lose to both 74 and 53 -- this is why you get to make videos imo (and probably 912 other reasons but I like to think it's just this one)

anyway, october is in the books for me... quite pleased to have a winning month imo... now i only have about 30k to go before i get back to my previous high point in august, which is quite feasible...

in case anyone is wondering, failed shots at 200/400 hurt very bad and possibly lead to 2+ months of breakeven earnings

I'm calling for a moratorium on all the miles .gifs and avatars. I'm sorry miles, I think you're awesome but it's getting out of control. You're starting to get credit in my mind for the collective posts of like a million different posters including the hip because you all have the same/similar avatars. Plus my work computer is a relic and is freaking out about loading a million yous every time I fire up the lc/nc thread. It's madness I tell you.
10-31-2008 , 02:23 PM
lol you can't beat .50/1 trypt, must be a luckbox at the nosebleeds, amirite?
10-31-2008 , 02:24 PM
So in the fine tradition of pictures in this thread i will describe how i want this weekend to turn out with this:

10-31-2008 , 02:24 PM
My October is in the books at +400 BB in 25k hands. Strangely enough, I'm annoyed at this because I felt like I ran terrible for almost all of the month.

As long as I'm ranting, I'd like to say that people at my limits are actually getting worse at table/seat selecting. The games have been pretty good lately and I'm still finding tables full of 5 regulars and one moderate fish. Meanwhile i've been playing at 4 tables where i'm the only tag. i think it's great because, hey, more fish for me, but it also kind of tilts me because people come on hear and complain about the quality of games, or downswings, or not making progress in their games. Table/seat selection is one of the simpleist and most important things you can do and people are just too lazy. I almost feel silly for posting this because it's the best kept secret that table/seat selection helps your game tremendously. I guess if people haven't figured it out by now, they're not going to.

/rant

I always kind of laugh inside when one of the TAG regulars in my games sits down two seats left of me and one seat left of another TAG.

I had a pretty good month:

Wow NW, you really do run bad

Can we see a PT shot? Or can you just give us a breakdown of stakes

Seriously, I mean, there are some fish that are bad enough that just being at the same table can be profitable, even if it's fully of regs, but that type of player is few and far between. I love when i have position on a fish or two and the rest of the table is full of regs and the fish will leave and I will immedietly sit out only to come back later to find the same three tags playing three handed. Have fun pushing money around guys. I think the thing that's been surprising to me lately is that I see some of the better players that I respect doing this crap. Whatever.
