You cant see what therapy will do for you because you are still in your own mind.
Your thoughts which analyze your thoguhts are still part of the same mind suffering from the same problems.
You've hardwired your brain over the past 20+ years to think the way you do, it takes a LOT of work to undo the negative thinking...
The process is slow and gradual, and is a very much, 2 steps forward 1 step back, 2 step forwards process so being results oriented is difficult.
You can never think your way out of your own mind, you have to interact with the world and together with action work to change yourself. This is what therapy does. I guarntee there are people who are WAY more messed up than you who've found inner peace through years of therapy.
