I really can't even fathom how anybody could like Family Guy more than South Park. I'm not being facetious, it's hard for me to even imagine it!

Family Guy is something to put on the TV when you are tired and/or bored and/or inebriated and want a chuckle or two interspersed with a CONSTANT BARRAGE of 80s-early 90s pop references. McFarland suffers from the same delusion a lot of people suffer from in that they think that (insert era in which the subject grew up) is far more interesting than any other era, including the current one. South Park is a vastly better show in and of itself AND is just funnier.

I could go on forever but South Park itself has already covered it.

Of course, this hasn't prevented me from seeing every (afaik) episode of FG.

South Park is too snooty.

It deals with issues that are sensitive to people. Not necessarily to me or anything, but a lot of it isn't really "funny."

They do the same thing every episode by showing the extremes of each view.

I used to like it growing up when I couldn't cuss in my house, but I've never had a passion for it since. I also don't like that it's a bunch of kids. I don't know why, but it's something that irks me.


All in all, they're two different kinds of comedies. South Park is much smarter and obviously out to send a message, whereas FG is not.
