I've never hit a bird though I've come close a few times. They don't pose a huge risk to piston planes unless they go through the windscreen. If I hit one I would land as soon as possible though and have a look at the damage.

I've never hit another plane mid-air. On my second flight lesson I taxied into a plane though, my wing hit the propeller of a cirrus (which was parked and not running). Nothing came of it though except my instructor got the nickname "wing ding."

Does anyone else ever just think about how awesome it would be to just drive off a cliff? Like sometimes I'm just randomly driving, everything is fine and I'm just like "that would probably be kinda fun".

But then I'd die, which wouldn't be as much fun probably, probably.

I'm going to eat at the new chick-fil-a that opened here on Minneapolis, I hear it's good food for people eating palio.

not as much when driving, but every time i'm standing on the edge of a cliff or high up on a hotel balcony, i have a strange compulsion to jump.

chick-fil-a is good. you'll like it i'm sure. don't go on sundays.

I saw him live when he was making a final run of his comedy tour, and still working on this bit (about a month before the final). His original bit was a lot more heinous than what he decided to air. And funnier too. I was always curious if he was going to go more dark for his special, but I think he made a wise decision to omit some parts.

yea we saw him in Minneapolis last October and that part of the skit was alot darker. The joke about the make a wish foundation was left out of the phoenix performance. he also expanded on all of the other jokes. he made improvements from when we saw him in October forsure.

make a wish foundation! hahah now I remember that. That was good, wish he didn't take that one out.

I was referring more specifically to the Holocaust/Nazi joke.

Just finished Dexter Season 7. Still not as good as the first 4 seasons, but better than 5 and 6. They finally made Quinn an interesting character... only took 5 seasons of trying lol. Hannah is a nice addition imo. Liked Isaac too.

Spoiler:
Still miss the **** out of Doakes. Very happy to see Maria finally die, god she is annoying. Dexter's kills were so ******edly sloppy this season that it was hard to imagine him not getting caught, but I guess that was intentional.

Just found out Charlie Trotter died last week. If you never got to eat at his restaurant, and like wine and food you missed a good time.

Celebrity deaths that have affected me most in the past 10 years...Trotter; Amy Winehouse; Syd Barrett. Now you know what I've been doing for 10 years.

UG, isn't there a statute of limitations on the need for spoilers?

I exercised the southern colonies' favorite lolright today and got a gun. Don't know much about it, but the guy seemed to know what was going on. No more details because I don't want to be sent to the gulag.

no more messin' around with scary people

Elo has a gun means I am scared for my life.

Don't you live in Arizona? Figure you'd be used to nutcases with guns.

are u gonna bring it to the next chess tourney? u should
11-16-2013 , 07:08 AM
Go chess!!!
11-16-2013 , 02:29 PM
I know a chess player that has his gun on him 24/7. He believes that Obama is literally a member of Satan's army.

Nuts are going to have guns anyway, so you might as well give yourself the ability to compete with them on that level, if need be.

whatd you get?

This seems like a great time to repost a classic Elo rant semi-related to guns:

"You took a perfectly innocuous QUESTION (as I ****ing directly stated in the post) and took it as a sweet opportunity to troll me AND to further your dumbass birther gunfag agenda. It should have been so unnecessary to write this, since I stated I was actually mildly pro-gun. It clearly never occurred to you that it's possible for somebody to be neither completely on your side NOR the other side. Because that's not how politics work on the short bus.

You call ME paranoid. Yet you are the one thinking your Fisher Price My First Firearm bull**** is going to stop the apparently inevitable Obama Superdroid Military Juggernaut. Please, son. By Day 2 you're gonna be fully reeducated and slurping up Big Brother's cumropes like a common LA crackwhore.

LOVE IT OR LEAVE IT

But no worries, have fun jizzing off in your Turner Diaries copy once again tonight. Be careful though, the pages where the perma-maligned white Christian male FINALLY puts one through the skull of a NWO stormtrooper are getting a little sticky.

You truck-nutz having, Budweiser swilling ***. Go wrap yourself in the flag so tight you auto-erotic asphyxiate yourself like David Carradine."

Stock up now boys, i'd give it 10 months before there is another shooting and we get some bull**** "for the children" legislation to try and take away more of our freedoms/rights.

Walmart has Christmas displays up already.
11-20-2013 , 06:16 AM
lol

Not to suck my own dick too hard, but that was quite a quality rant, imo.

Also, got into a pretty epic 3/6 huhu tiltmatch (ZOMG ROAD TO ROBUSTO) on Blovada(tm). Trading insults back and forth, playing spewy because it's fun, etc. Favorite thing in poker. He called me a "h.omo f.agget (sic)" a few times:

Him: keep hitting 3 outers
Him: and playing ****ty hands
Me: sir, this is limit holdem
Me: otherwise known as ****ty hand central

(next hand he loses a biggish pot when he calls pre with 83o, c/r 899 and I bink the river A for top pair)

Him: u must have sucked off the owner
Me: Ya I'm good bros with Calvin Ayre

not super creative lines, but I just missed tiltchatting so much -- just as much as the actual game, probably

Anyway, spun up 60 to 1800+ in 4 days only playing outside my roll like 25% of the time. The road to robusto is paved with the bones of dead donkeys. Probably a mixed metaphor; I don't know how one would pave a bone, but it's 5 AM so **** you.
