Nitty fold or standard? Nitty fold or standard?

First hand at this table. Given that everyone limped pf, I thought either opponent could have trips. Utg's just call/cap usually screams "big hand" imo. I figured I couldn't beat too many hands on the turn, and didn't want to get whipsawed in a raising war.

bad spot

agree that the utg call/cap screams big hand.

with the 3rd spade on the turn I hate folding but probably would.

quite possible that one of your opponents limped in with two spades or with A3 or K3 suited

I do like your fold.

Your sandwiched between the 2 villains risking a raising war with the worse good made hand.

nh imo

try not to fold the nuts in huge pots on the turn

UTG call cap doesn't scream big hand. It screams "I'm a ****** and I wont fold my mediocre pocket pear/flusdraw when it's 2 back to me so I spitecap! HAH!"

If the board was different it might scream big hand but not in this case imo.

Ok the turn spade is a terribad card for you but I'd call once on the turn. If its 2 back to me again I'd make the hero fold.

Pretty ******ed post. It's pretty obvious the hero is a large underdog to have the best hand on the turn. I still think we can justify calling the turn cuz we have some outs to beat a flush, once in a while we'll hit our 2 outer to beat 3x, and once in a blue moon we'll somehow have the best hand. All those reasons + 12BBs in the pot make calling the turn not closing the action, the play imo. And like other posters have said, if it's two coming back to us we should fold.

right, i'm not loving my hand, but I don't make a living by folding toptop in large pots to a pair of ******s on the turn

Well that's a far cry from saying we have the nuts. I think your hyperbolic style goes too far sometimes.

So I assume we're going to showdown if we can do so for one BB on each street.

If the turn went SB bets, hero calls, utg raises, call, call, then what would the river plan be? Overcall a river bet?

if that happens, and the river is a spade, i c/f

if the river a brick, i'm calling 1 bet
