A-high vs biggest fish in the sea A-high vs biggest fish in the sea

This guy is the biggest fish I have seen. He plays around 40% of his hands in every position (not including the blinds) and very rarely raises. He likes to limp-raise with premium hands.

Party Poker $0.50/$1 Limit Hold'em - 6 players

Pre Flop: (1.5 SB) Hero is BTN with A 6
2 folds, CO calls, Hero raises, 2 folds, CO calls

Flop: (5.5 SB) Q 5 3 (2 players)
CO checks, Hero bets, CO calls

Turn: (3.75 BB) 7 (2 players)
CO checks

Do I want to b/f and check river UI or take a free card and possibly hit A or 4?

You picked up a gutshot and can catch an ace. That is 7 outs and is worth a bet on the turn. If you get c/r I just don't know what to do anymore in that spot.

I fold to c/r. I'm so familiar with this guy that c/r means at least two pair. Over 4k hands with him so I don't have to call down every time the c/rs.

Bet. This guy calls with T4 and J9 and A2 and all kinds of junk.

If you can play perfectly against him, then what's stopping you from betting?

Speaking of fish, I played a week ago against a guy that, according to tableratings' "analysis", was looser than 99% of all players at 2-4 LHE, and more passive than 99%. It was a good session...

Well obv I can't play perfectly against him. The I'm asking is that he is calling with any pair, any draw and any A. Propably with most kings as well. Are we vbetting or or what?

Will he bluff the river if you check the turn? Will he valuebet all his pairs if you check the turn?

The board texture calls for a turn c-bet

From what you have written, i take it that you got checkraised on the turn

With ace high + straight draw? When you procreate are you planning on passing on the ****** gene?

Well, if a checkraise from Villain means two pair or better like Hero claims, then folding is the play (although we sure as hell would prefer at that point if we could just take back our bet and have the free shot at our gutter that we passed on).

Anyway, it doesn't sound like we're getting checkraised much. Still, I think sledghammer's questions are the key ones.

Wrong. I actually bet the turn but I don't know why.

Well the pot is quite small and never seen this guy c/r'n with less than 2 pair. So basically I only have my gutshot.

I don't have a solid read if he bluff-donks but I know he can bluff-bet in position. I have used a river check-call many times against him when the board is wet and he would likely fold or raise.

Most likely.

I bet the turn because he's a fish, and might float the flop with nothing. If he calls the turn, then I check behind on the river.
