I think you should take a WA/WB line on the flop. this guy will have a pretty strong 3-betting range preflop, so he either has you crushed, or very few outs. You also cannot force out the SB, who will also likely have very few outs against either of you, but possibly a better ace. Just take a conservative route to showdown, and yes, you can fold to a bet and a raise on either the turn or river.

I don't know exactly what preflop 3-betting range we should give to CO, but for the sake of argument let's make it AJ+, KQ, and AA-77. Versus that range, you've got him beat on this flop 69 percent of the time. Throw KQ out of the mix and otherwise leave the range the same, and you've still got him beat 61 percent of the time. To add to this, he's frequently going to check the turn behind if he's called twice on the flop and it's checked to him again.

So, unless you've got some respect for SB's range given that he nearly had to call 3 SBs preflop to play and then he called an ace-high flop, it seems like checkraising is the play.

The drawback is that, once CO 3-bets the flop, it does look like you're screwed. But peeling the flop versus that 3-bet is obvious enough, and then peeling again on the turn, closing the action, getting 11:1, with the chance of spiking your kicker or perhaps ending up with a 3-way chop if the gutshot on the board hits seems reasonable, although not super-profitable. The problem, of course, is that it's going to be hard to fold the river UI, although you are probably losing.

But SB made it easy for you on the river.

So I'm going to say, nice hand.

As your respect for SB increases, I think you should be more inclined simply to call on the flop instead of checkraising.

*grunch*

How can the A be on the board when it is in our hand?

If the suits don't matter, I'm not raising the flop but playing it as WA/WB.

As played: river is standard.
