no reads and a huge pot i'm probably capping the flop and leading safe turns.
as played i'm not folding there in this pretty big pot

This is a spot that seems to come often in smaller stakes games that I usually find myself wondering what to do. I would call flop because pot is too big to fold, but I don't see much value in capping. This is a relatively safe turn. I'm just in calldown mode even though it seems spewy. I don't want to see any broadway on the river, but I'm going to have a tough time folding in this pot.

i will assume that vilains are not maniacs.

I dont like the donk of the MP on the turn and the BB raising this up seing the 8. I would fold the hand there i think.

I could see buton overplaying his big pair, but i think that is quite clear for MP that one of you has an overpair and he is not afraid of that.

You got too passive on the flop.

Very unlikely that BTN has an 8 given that he 3 bet preflop.

Likely Hands are AA, KK, QQ, JJ, TT, 99, 88, QJ - cap flop. QJ, KK, QQ, JJ are most likely. TT,99 are less likely but possible. Only one way to make 88, so remote possibility. AT and case AA are also a minor possibility.

I cap this flop.

Bet/CALL turn

Lead river if turn was NOT raised, check/call if it was.

EDIT: eh. on second thought, I think I check call turn and river.

MP's turn bet, which is probably just a pointless donkbet with JT or JJ or AJo or something, is really irritating to anyone in the SB who finds himself faced with two cold , but I guess what I do now is cold-call and hope I end up thanking him for the extra money at showdown.

I'm not particularly optimistic, though. Button has me worried.

do you mean bet/call as played, or only if you capped? I agree with cap, bet/call down. If it's two back to me on the turn after I cap the flop I'm really tempted to fold.

Why would we ever what to cap this flop Alienboy? Seems very spewy IMO.

Tough spot without any read, but you have the best 2-pair and I would have a hard time folding it.

i don't play 3/6 at FT but i suppose that unknowns are not likely to be this aggressive, in which case your equity takes a hit, and you should just call.
