BTN is basically unknown. Lets assume he is a reasonabel tight-aggressive regular.

Are you betting the turn? What if the J is non? B/f the river sounds super weak, but aren´t we pretty much calling for a split against most players?

i just call. KQ is in his range. if he's trying to rep an 8 because he thinks you dont have one and he can get you off a pair when he holds A7, or some hand he's turning into a bluff, hes just going to fold to a 3!. 3! only really get value from J9, T9, and that is so rare im willing to pass on the reraise.

i would bet the turn, and would even bet if it was a J for value against worse Axs and for fold equity against hands like 66-33.

i just read the last part about calling for a split. no way would i ever fold this river and even thinking about it requires penance. yeah, youre calling for a +EV split, since he doesnt have KQ enough for you to fold correctly. He has an 8 most of the time. He has KQ only slightly more often than he has air+2pear.

Don't we have a straight. We only lose to Q8. Wouldn't we always raise?

Anything else than a call on river is massive overplay.
Besides that. There is no strong 2 pair hands in his range.

I would think that T9 would be a strong possibility there the way the hand played out. I would have put more money in on the flop if I was the villain with 2 overs and a straight draw, but not everyone does.

That being said, I can't find a raise here very often. I would just call.

T9 would raise flop with top pair between 50-100% of the time.

If you fold what is there in your calling range? higher straights can be discounted somewhat as he didn't sb the turn. 3 betting against non maniacs is really spewy
