Why are people not more alarmed from the threat of N.Korea Why are people not more alarmed from the threat of N.Korea

Kind of funny how both sides just basically endlessly repeating themselves without being willing to take any action.

It probably will after all this nonsense dies down.

NK more than likely couldn't accurately put a missile within 100 miles of guam let alone 20.

I diagree. Im sure they could land a missile within 100 miles of Guam and probably rather easily to be honest.
08-12-2017 , 06:10 PM
They haven't demonstrated that so far. A lot of their tests have been failures.

They launched a few ICBS that landed pretty much where they wanted in the sea of japan without hitting the island of japan itself.

Guam is much much closer.

LOL What? Guam is much further away.

Mea Culpa. You're right. For some reason I was thinking Guam was closer to North Korea.

China entering a direct conflict with the United States would be catastrophic for them. To be blunt, they simply aren't ready yet. And they know it. And they would be doing it alone, with US allies surrounding them.

Russia is the only military power that would be a direct challenge. If we truly went at it, no nukes, we'd crush China. Russia, not so much, even with full NATO support.

Our true adversary is Russia, it has been 1945. The Chinese can go EAD.

Sorry but no. It's probably best that you leave military matters to those that understand them, because you're pretty far off base here.

Like definitely a direct conflict between the two countries favors the US if you just compare the numbers of tanks and guns that both sides have, but that's not how it works in real life. The Chinese have more than enough military might to protect themselves and their interests, and that's pretty much the end of the discussion. Besides even more important than the size of the two militaries is the politics, and the US is pretty clearly in the disadvantage there.

Also, it's not for nothing that everyone always adds in the 'no nukes' caveat when they discuss stuff like this. Because in case you didn't get the memo the world doesn't work like that. China has nukes, and will use them to defend themselves, the same as the US does and would. Attack them and you risk turning both countries into a nuclear wasteland.

Put simply, if they don't want you to have North Korea, you ain't getting it.

I agree with Dino. WW3 is an unwinnable conflict and it wouldn't be just China vs the U.S. other countries would join both sides.

If North Korea were serious they wouldn't be announcing their strategy would they.
