((I can't get a response as to if I can post on the main again, and I don't see this topic anywhere. So I guess here it can be. Hopefully, despite the neighborhood, it won't get infected here, but it prolly will. We can only try. Here goes:))
At this point, Putin pulling off a 100% safe games seems ... unlikely, in my view. What do you think?
Further, would you go as a fan? A parent? ... An athlete?
- roughly what percentage of videos vowing attacks are fake?
- are they pranks, or by design?
- how much will Putin overcompensate?
- how much leeway does U.S. State Dept. security apparatus have allowed for deadly force? any?

I think there is a chance that the Olympics will be 100% safe, but there is a very high chance of another attack.

By design of course, They are tools to terrorize the public. They are very effective and cheap to produce.

If the terrorist embarrass Putin over Sochi. I think Putin will retaliate very strongly. I'm willingly to bet the Russians have a contingency plan for retaliation.

hmmm...good question...I don't know about that. I'm guessing, but I doubt the Russians would allow the State Dept. too much leeway when it comes to running around with guns.
