Lol, me too. I have worked on the training for Germans coming to Switzerland. The result was somewhat liberally interpreted that everyone involved (Swiss or German) got better in believing the stereotypes about Swiss people (wasn't published of course because who wants to hear "the truth", Edit: There are a zillion reasons it would not hold up for Us-German training). So I could go into a cascade of stereotypes attributed to Amis behaviour but nothing more.

Knocking out women is not part of African American culture, which makes the comparison terrible.

Knocking out women is pretty much global culture.

deuces go get a switch and report back

I think Deuces would be better off with a top than a switch.

Cliffs: one can't diagnose a complex abuse dynamic on a minute video clip, one should respect the difference in cultures and add more weight to the judgements of group members in those cultures (in particular the role of violence in AA culture), and the discussion of domestic abuse should be extracted from the frames of celebrity culture and the piling on to black athletes.

hen I point out she married him I am trying to point to the victim's voice which, in a rush to judge RR, has been given scant attention. She has a lot more information about the relationship and she has just dedicated herself to him when, in light of the publicity, it would have been easy for her to leave or at least postpone the wedding pending RR getting treatment. She clearly has a different opinion of her relationship (more later on why this is cast aside) than those calling for the head of RR

It's sexist not to punch women if you're into punching people.

In the age of auto correct it seems strange to obsess about mistakes like that, particularly for someone who has so many other horrible posts to choose from

You have yet to prove the above allegation. And in addition, you have what could be called hate views of Muslims. Again, you have no facts to back up the claim that I'm Antisemitic and you are on record with poor views of Muslims and their religion.

I'm intrigued by this thekid character. Can you tell us more about why everyone thinks you're a terrible poster?

Assuming the winner of the tourney will take over the title, so Deuces will have his day soon

It's pretty clear that I said the main reason we shouldn't judge RR in clinical terms is because we don't know too much about the relationship (Well, it's clear to people who aren't out to intentionally misrepresent what other people say- not you).

To the extent that he is judged via a minute long video clip, we should consider the victims reaction as a factor since she has a lot more information than we do and is the one who has suffered. We should also consider cultural aspects, such as the infliction of violence onto and into the African American culture and the effect of that on norms. And lastly we should ask ourselves why we are talking about RR so much. Are we looking at this objectively or are we viewing it through the perspectives of celebrity culture and racist high horsemanship?

pretty sure knocking out a woman is all you need to judge... lol deuces, forever and always.

In other words shallow bigoted trolls like to narrow the focus and ignore all mitigating factors. That is unless a black person is killed, in which case walking home is casing the neighborhood, iced tea and skittles are hard drugs, and scrapes are life threatening injuries.

It's been revealed in this exchange that gambool doesn't understand the difference between an analogy and a comparison. Possibly he doesn't have a grasp on the commonly understood meaning of culture either.

So yeah if you're relatively new here you probably want to note that certain posters don't have the basics down. In the past gambool has made such basic errors as categorizing opinion as fact and making no distinction between probability and outcome. I don't think educating them helps unfortunately but hey, fight the good fight.
