Every god damn thread now is ruined with this ****, or so it seems. I haven't been reading that much the last couple of weeks, but it's been out of control in the very recent past. I'm a firm believer in having an ignore list, but it has to be fairly small or you can't follow conversations.

To some extent bitter and 13th are right that the discourse is pretty toxic and moderation seems very sporadic. But that's mostly because the majority of posters have figured out how to break the spirit of forum rules without breaking the letter of the law.

When you allow one politics regular leeway with such things, soon you have to give that same leeway to everyone. Then you end up in the situation we're in now where half the posts in alpha are barely veiled insults (hyperbole). New folks like bitter who don't get the distinction yet are the ones who suffer most. They either get lots of temp bans they don't understand because what everyone else does is so similar, or they never figure it out and get perma'd eventually.

From 2000 to 2009 non-Hispanic incarceration rates declined while Hispanic incarceration rates rose.”[32] The only change seems to be a growing number of illegal alien criminals.

Guatemalan illegal alien Juan Tzun killed California sheriff’s dispatcher Dominick Durden. In 2008, Tzun was charged with two felonies. He pled guilty to one felony and the other was dropped. Tzun was given 3 years probation but should have been deported. A year later he was caught driving drunk. Three more years probation, but again, no deportation. Another year later, Tzun was caught driving drunk a second time and was released — two months later he drove into Durden and instantly killed him. Finally, ICE detained Tzun until an immigration judge freed him on bond. Tzun spent all of 35 days in jail, and is now in detention pending deportation.[20]

My takeaway from a rollover accident where I almost died because I wasn't wearing a seat belt would have been that I should start wearing a seat belt, but I guess that's just me.

Yeah totally, I mean I shouldn't have ANY thoughts whatsoever about a methed out illegal scumbag in a stolen car ramming me from behind while I am already going 40 MPH and then running from the scene.

I should have the same thoughts about this as some 75 year old bumping me from behind in a little fender bender.

I was only lucky because it was a clean rollover and didn't have contact with any other cars or objects. Because this was smack dab in the middle of rush hour on probably one of the top 2 or 3 busy intersections in Scottsdale. Things could have went way differently where wearing a seatbelt wouldn't have even mattered. I was prepared for something like this, and always thought what do I do if some idiot hits me and I flip over in a top heavy car, and happen to not be wearing my seatbelt. I figured you just hang on to the steering wheel, and thats what I did and it worked perfectly.

Of course I had thoughts about **** I should have been wearing my seatbelt, but if you think I shouldn't be having thoughts about some ****ed up illegal doing this to me, then you are ******ed.

After the accident a few days later I looked up the dude on some mugshot database and posted it to Facebook because the dude was smiling ear to ear in his mugshot and his name was like alejandro jimenez corcharo or something.

About 6 months later I was going back through my timeline during Thanksgiving to show a relative the dude's mugshot….

and POOF….it wasn't there anymore…
