I haven't been following the nuances - but comparing the mental state of homosexuality to the mental state of pedophilia is clearly ridiculous.

So it seems crazy to say we should accept both. We shouldn't accept pedophilia. We should actively help those people to change and forcibly stop them from acting on it if necessary.
