Not for a single ****ing second did they stop to consider WHY those votes happened the way they did.
Actually, I spend a lot of time thinking about why those votes happened. Because I'm a liberal, I respect them voicing their opinion. I think their opinion is wrong and they are stupid. Most of the 60 million still love their kids and all that stuff - they aren't monsters but many are against
good stuff happening to other people.
Immigration, abortion, gender issues, women, minorities... all OSJ positions have a "I don't want good thing x happen for group y because my feelings" component. That's like, their thing. Finding spots where some other people don't know their place.
I have empathy. I want immigrants to flourish, women to have a choice for abortion, people being able to use the bathroom they're most comfortable with, refugees to live in dignity and so on. Most of those don't affect me at all, some hypothetically even negatively. In all those cases, it's relatively easy to guess what a
good person's stance on them would be.
I'm not a SJW though, or at least never considered myself one; I'm not an activist at all. But I try to be a
good person, if that makes me a SJW so be it. Also lol at the guy who called me leftist; In Germany the stereotype is actually the cold-hearted, not the bleeding-heart liberal.
