I think the idea is to assemble a panel of arbiters who naturally need to be intelligent and impartial, in effect acting as a judge directing a small jury.

I like one of their albums a lot! Saw this video a long time ago on some old school tv show that showcased indie type artists like Supergrass and Isley, bands like that. Good song, good album. They wrote it during their mom's death iirc.

Original Position, this is essentially the bet. The only thing I ask is there are 3 judges, majority vote wins, and that a few pages of thoughts after the bet was made are read by those judges. Pretty much every conceivable argument was made within a few hundred posts of the bet. I would prefer everything was read from the bet until now, but that's a lot of posts, so I can understand if people get sick of reading it. A lot of it is just arguing and bickering, so I think most of the idiocy can be skipped over quickly.

Also, I believe (but I'm not sure), we agreed that one of us should be declared the winner, so the judges should vote for one side or the other, with "no winner" not being an option.

That's pretty much it. I would think the judges should be kept anonymous, and we both trust you to pick fair and unbiased judges that can confirm with you they are not biased for or against either of us (preferably, sensible people who don't post in this forum or the main politics forum). I'm fine with you being a judge and 2 others, or you just picking 3 judges, as long as a winner, either way, is decided.
