Duck Dynasty Speech Suppression Unchained! Duck Dynasty Speech Suppression Unchained!

It's all really weird because I could have sworn I read an article a few months ago saying Phil wasn't going to be doing the new season anyways since he didn't like doing it.

These organizations should be screaming about the dangers of the gay male lifestyle at the top of their lungs, given those potential statistics.
Ahhh. See, I was wondering where the **** he was coming up with this bull**** because it didn't connect with his usual wingnut talking points(and that USA Today article about gay activists was clearly not the origin point), but he found some "AIDS is the gay disease and gay men are sinfully spreading AIDS everywhere" homophobes to tell him what to think. That squares the circle pretty neatly.

Second...Yes I'm not saying they should put all their eggs in one basket on HIV prevention. Duck dynasty is fine and obviously gay marriage and equal protection are positive worthwhile things to have on their agenda. it just boggles my mind that the HIV thing is so hush hush from these organizations.
Stop trying to concern troll gays about HIV, dude. Nobody buys it.

Silver Man bringing that 1987 style bigotry and ignorance. I guess it was good enough for Regan.

Reinstated "Duck Dynasty" star Phil Robertson thinks guys should marry 15 or 16-year-old girls because when they get any older they become gold diggers.

Another video of Phil's preachin' has surfaced ... and in this one he implores his followers to marry young girls because "They'll pick [clean] your ducks." He goes on with a cautionary message: "You wait till they get to be 20 years old ... the only pickin' that's gonna take place is your pocket."

"As a global media content company, A+E Networks’ core values are centered around creativity, inclusion and mutual respect. We believe it is a privilege for our brands to be invited into people’s home and we operate with a strong sense of integrity and deep commitment to these principals.
That is why we reacted so quickly and strongly to a recent interview with Phil Robertson. While Phil’s comments made in the interview reflect his personal views based on his own beliefs, and his own personal journey, he and his family have publicly stated they regret the “coarse language” he used and the mis-interpretation of his core beliefs based only on the article. He also made it clear he would “never incite or encourage hate.” We at A+E Networks expressed our disappointment with his statements in the article, and reiterate that they are not views we hold.
But Duck Dynasty is not a show about one man’s views. It resonates with a large audience because it is a show about family… a family that America has come to love. As you might have seen in many episodes, they come together to reflect and pray for unity, tolerance and forgiveness. These are three values that we at A+E Networks also feel strongly about.
So after discussions with the Robertson family, as well as consulting with numerous advocacy groups, A&E has decided to resume filming Duck Dynasty later this spring with the entire Robertson family.
We will also use this moment to launch a national public service campaign (PSA) promoting unity, tolerance and acceptance among all people, a message that supports our core values as a company, and the values found in Duck Dynasty. These PSAs will air across our entire portfolio"

wow.

Or we care more about the cash and not what a bunch of racist , bigots say

If I say that the three Asians guys I saw the other day were stupid, does that mean I think all Asian guys are stupid. Applying the Robertson standard, it could.

What do you expect? He married his wife when she was sixteen and marrying a girl of that age is legal in Louisiana if you have parental permission.

He's just going by what he learned from the bible. The same way that he rejects tattoos, leather, etc...

Again, what he said about blacks was something he said about the blacks he knew PERSONALLY. He was NOT commenting on blacks and their issues of that time. Thus, based on those statements, he is not a racist in my opinion.

He simply believes homosexuality is wrong. If that makes him a homophobe, so be it. But he didn't equate homosexuality with bestiality. Again, as I interpret what he said.

And regarding marrying fifteen or sixteen year olds, he was making that suggestion to twenty-year old men. It's not like he was suggesting that to people of his own age.

Your interpretation skills need work.

Huffington Post bloggers are sure jumping on the issue. Thirteen of the twenty blog posts featured in today's TV area of HP are about Duck Dynasty.

Regarding my interpretation skills needing work, that's your opinion.

Personally, I am NOT basing my opinion on what the talking heads says he means.
01-01-2014 , 03:30 PM
How about basing it on his actual printed quotes?

Who the **** do you think this fools? Like do you imagine that people read this and think "oh well this gentlemen is just making some excellent points perhaps Mr. Robertson was just telling us a weird anecdote about individuals he knew out of context and for no reason"?

Naw, man, we read it and we think that YOU (not Robertson, ldo he is, but YOU) are an enormous racist and you're defending Robertson out of tribal allegiance. Saying that black people were singing and happy during Jim Crow? Seriously? People who fondly reminisce about the days when black people knew their place are racists. That's not a matter of opinion, it's not open to different interpretations. His agenda, and your agenda, are pretty ****ing transparent.

Son that **** might fly round your trailer park, but some of us went to college.

There was no singing and all blacks was mad and unhappy during jim crow. if I was to say blacks are happy now would that be racist or if I know a black person who is happy now. So blacks didn't sing and none was happy what year did that change great educated one fly, was it 1970 1977 1987 1997 2007 or never .
