Philadelphia is a city that absolutely nobody ever thinks about unless somebody from there brings it up. The only thing Philly has added to its resume in the past 225 years is a ****ty sandwich drowned in fake cheese.

Wil, its almost as if you didn't read my original post and just flew off the handle as you are prone to do.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fred_Trump

At the time of death, Fred Trumps net worth was $250-300 million. He had 5 children. Thus, Trump probably got about $50 million. Thus putting $50 million in the stock market (Vanguard Total Stock Market VTSMX) in June 1999 the dividend-adjusted price was $23.06. The price today is $49.75. Thus, if put in the stock market it would be worth $110 million, probably a loss to inflation. Not the $20 billion posted by liberal taint in this thread.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Donald_Trump#Bankruptcies

Donald Trump never declared personal bankruptcy.

In 1988 Trump claimed to have a net worth of $3 billion.

Think, uh, maybe old Fred might've passed a buck or two Donny's way prior to dying? It's happened a couple of times before with uber-rich parents and spoiled kids, I think.

Also, how hard would it have been to make money in NYC real estate in the 70s', 80's, and 90's had you been handed tens of millions to start?

I think it's safe to say when the opposition has resorted to making jokes about the car you drive, you're winning the argument.

While I expect that type of behavior out of people like gambool (and apparently 2outs), I'm surprised to see it coming from you. While you may think it is amusing (and it somewhat is, admittedly), you look like an immature fool.

Carry on.

The only tool who tried to brag about the car they drive is you lolwil.

You made an assumption, I corrected it. No one is bragging about driving an '05 worth 6,000 dollars.

I made a cultural reference to an old SNL clip where an impotent middle manager played by Will Ferrell who no one respects starts saying stuff to his mocking family like "22 people report to me, Im a very important person" and "You dont talk to me that way, I drive a Dodge Stratus". You know, the equivalent of "you don't tell me Im a dick, I got invited to a BBQ! I have 8 life long friends!"

Your response was to...err...actually replicate Will Ferrell by posting "You don't talk to me that way! I drive a TL! American cars are for newbies"

Like Bunny Colvin would say: son, thanks for being you.

As you say.

By the way, that particular scene where Colvin thanks the teenager is appropriate. I think of you as the guy taking notes.

Care to quote the post where I fun of the car you drive?

As for cities, I'd fully expect my hometown to be a negative in the success calculator but you gotta overcome that with lots of BBQ invites and childhood friends.

Maybe going up after this thread. Something about a car has really really upset him.

Makes me want to brag about my used car like I was Donald Trump. It's great and Jeb Bush is stupid.

Teenage friends. You were the one with the childhood ones. Way to expand those horizons.

So yeah, as expected, wil thinks he needs to use his "street experience" to educate us on the violent urban youth.

lol wil.

Still a better poster than chez though. At least wil makes a (usually bigoted and ignorant) point rather than being too chicken**** to actually voice an opinion on a freaking internet message board. Chez probably doesn't dine out to avoid having to make a firm stand on tap or bottled water

Is it really that strange that I don't respect your opinion on anything? I'm sure it's a response you are very accustomed to.

Yeah not dining out does sound like me.

You carry on with your awesome firm stands though. It's a key part of your delicious nuttiness.

I don't think takeaway from the chip shop counts as dining out.
