I assume being a mod is a volunteer position, so I also say thanks for putting your time and effort into keeping these discussions free and protected from those wanting to censor them. Reading that spank is mod generated a two minute long convulsion of laughter that I could never explain to someone not up on this forum. I wasn't laughing at the idea of spank being mod but at the presumed indignation of the derisive mob. Mat is an evil genius.

I'm not actually too worried about Spank going crazy on people he disagrees with.

For me the interesting thing will be how he balances his rhetoric with having to take action in certain cases. When thekid/sm2/etc. come back with the their **** - what's gonna happen?

I think if Wookie opened one thread in politics alpha to replace the bad poster thread there'd be little reason for most people to post here. And then this place just becomes a second version of SMP (which I also don't read very often).

Edit: When I checked the thread and saw Mat modded Spank I was annoyed for about 3 seconds and then found it hilarious. I obviously think it's a bad idea but it's kind of what PU deserves (again, for better or worse).

My only real concern is the stuff I wrote about Bruce being remodded. There are some things that Spank has access to again that make me a bit uncomfortable. But whatever.

Yeah I mean I don't know what spank has access to in terms of re-modding Bruce or whatever, but in terms of modding this forum it's obviously not going to be a nightmare, his attitude is about as hands off as it gets which is sorta what PU is about. That's assuming he doesn't get bitter and go on a power rampage now. Less straight-up racist posts will be deleted and that's about it. He's still the worst poster here
