I'm not angry that racists co-opted "white pride." I think the phrase is silly in the first place. I was just pointing out that they did in fact co-opt it.

And where did I say anything about not being able to tell black people not to live by me? I explained a real-life situation in which my friend was told he shouldn't live in a Hispanic neighborhood, and compared it to a hypothetical in which a Hispanic person is told he shouldn't live in a white neighborhood.

In both cases, the same thing is happening, but in only one of them would the person likely face legal consequences. That's my problem with it. It's an unfair application of the law. A punch in the face should be assault and battery no matter who does it. Race should not be used to distort material facts.

Naturally, though, you isolate the hypothetical story about the white neighborhood, make the Cuban guy black, and mischaracterize me with an opinion I don't have to try to paint me as a racist. Go **** yourself.

So it is racist to point out the obvious fact that the whole point of Planned Parenthood is to keep the minority population in check? And to also dwindle their numbers. Under the guise of...... "you women have a right to choose" LOL

Also.... you think elitist pro-choice politicians give a **** about some 19 year old riffraff sluts oh so precious right to choose? Why can't I point that obvious fact out without being labeled a sexist or racist or whatever?

Don't call names. It was an honest question. If you meant to include "[insert any broad race description] culture" in your criticism, then fine. We're in agreement. But you isolated "white culture" as if to perpetuate the racial double-standard that I'd just mentioned.

I guess we are supposed to suspend disbelief at the casual usage of the words slut? Obviously factual or factually odious?

Because there are contingents of people out there who are eager to shout "Racist!" at anyone who disagrees with the specifics of their opinion on an issue that involves race, or their proposed method of dealing with race-involved issues. It's really as simple as that. Either you are with them or you're a Nazi sympathizer.
12-10-2013 , 07:28 PM
There is no fact there, obvious or otherwise.

Not being American, is the double standard seen in this thread a common belief in American society, is this thread an adequate representation of people's view in the US?

Well...technically, sure, you are right.

80% of Planned Parenthoods in minority neighborhoods. Nothing to see here folks! We just absolutely care so deeply about poor minority women's oh soooo precious RIGHT to choose.

Give me a ****ing break!

It's not as common in real life as it appears on the internet, if only because of the effect of loudmouths being the most visible people in a communications medium.

I would say that it's somewhat common but pervasive, according only to my informal personal experience, if that makes sense. It's an insidious sort of racism that a lot of people don't recognize as racism.

What % of this thread is bold overconfident statements that are obviously not true if you apply the barest minimum of thought to them?

lol where do you get these expressions? Who are you? I remember you thinking I'm a crazy idiot for raising an eyebrow at the astonishing, highly improbable efficiency of the 911 attacks under the "it's either all conspiracy or all not conspiracy" logic. Nonetheless I have to say u have some decent chops when it comes to the quips. I suspect you are a writer.

Well, to be fair, Planned Parenthood is primarily a service offered for poor people, and poor people are disproportionately represented in "minority" areas.

Of course, it's not impossible that it's also some kind of backhanded plot by white people to reduce brown populations, but I'm inclined to give more weight to the poverty idea.

If he's a professional writer of any kind, he must have a really top-notch editor.

I would doubt a writer would submit the same thing to his editor as what he posts on a politics forum. I am just saying the guy can turn a phrase. I don't think his arguments as posted here are always airtight or compelling. They are too snarky and abbreviated to be taken too seriously most of the time. But the dude can turn a phrase- that much is undeniable.

Well......the reason planned parenthood was founded was to eliminate black people.

What makes you think the whole concept changed? Seems pretty logical to me you just tell stupid people it is about liberating women and having that lol beautiful right to choose. While keeping secretly keeping the same course from the very beginning. Which is very obvious considering the location of most of them.
12-10-2013 , 09:11 PM
Then why do conservatives constantly try to defund it? Some double bluff going on?

Planned Parenthood offers a hell of a lot more than abortions. More importantly, the ability to intelligently plan one's reproduction is of a great deal of value, in particular to poor people, and especially when that service is offered free or at low cost.

Being poor and having children to care for is practically financial suicide. Tell me, then, why would someone who hates poor "minorities" to the point of wanting to inflict slow genocide on them want to give them an option that could help some of them rise up out of poverty?

It doesn't really add up to me, sir. I think you're seeing ill motive where there is not ill motive.

SM is such a huge racist that we're miles away from being able to tackle his misogyny
12-10-2013 , 10:27 PM
SM has this bizarre way of latching onto one random ass wingnut talking point without even the slightest attempt to evaluate the claim or work it into context. In the last racism thread he wouldn't shut up about charter schools.

He clearly just discovered the eugenics/Planned Parenthood thing pro-life morons like to spread. Like earlier today. It has nothing to do with this thread, but oh boy he's GOT A THING TO THROW BACK AT THOSE LIBERALS.

OK and I'm calling bull**** on this dude being a legitimate poster. That other racist dip**** brings in his super HOT TAKES about the insidious racist double standard against white pride, and some fluent-in-English Euro is just fascinated at the brand new information? No way.

He ain't me. I put way too many words in already without having an extra account to deal with.

Also, **** you. You know less than **** about me beyond disagreeing with my opinion. Save the dirty ****-slinging for the steamy ass****ing sessions with your mother.
