I agree. Had it right before with 3K chips. Maybe make the blinds 8-9 minutes, but really I preferred it with 10 min. The PLO and PLO hi/lo were consistently taking 4+ hours to play but the Holdem's were closer to 3 hrs. Part of the difference, I think, is the PLO events don't have antes and when it gets down to the FT it can drag out a bit.

Per Winning_TD : "Also another OD wont re create until late reg is over."

So it's a 20 min lag between respawns.

they should just take the on demand out of the sng race or at least normal amount of points not 5x 2x

+1. They aren't SNGs, so why are they included in a SNG race? Can I get some clarification as to why a MTT is included in a SNG race?

We got MTTers who aren't even visiting the sng lobby in the top ten.

ADD turbos to the On Demand tourneys... don't REMOVE the regular On Demands or reduce the starting stacks.

Providing more choices is one thing - removing games which people are actually registering for and playing regularly is.... well...... stupid?

the software is so unbelievable chaotic

1. i don't need to have a table i was just eliminated on take focus and remain in focus
2. if a table automatically closes when you click ok on a dialogue box indicating you've won a sng or are eliminated in a spot that ends a sng, a table should be able to close clicking ok on a box in which you're eliminated sooner than the sng ending
3. i have to ctrl+k every 3 minutes because apparently i'm sitting out at tables because tables regularly don't pop up when it's my turn to act and now i just have to be safe
4. the lag in between clicking register and it actually registering is a pain
5. the lag before the sng lobby refreshes is a pain
6. not being able to filter by turbos and non turbos is a pain
7. the entire layout of the sng lobby is a pain
12-03-2013 , 10:35 PM
^^^^^^ are you "alwayswinkler"?

but yes you are correct about all of those. What I hate is having to close two lobbies after either winning a don or losing a don because they feel the need to pop up while im trying to play other tables.

I do want to give some props tho..the lobbies are much easier to get to..tyty
12-03-2013 , 11:17 PM
Is there any way to get both lobbies to stop popping up when you close a table? So annoying.

funny is this even poker anymore?

the play is fine. it's no different from your usual sit n goery except there are some beast cash players transitioning to sngs who you can easily tell are not accustomed to playing sngs, which of course is awesome. it does suck that 7/10 games that run are DoNs but still

it's an enormous sigh of relief to actually be able to play games on this site that you can realistically expect to come out with a positive ROI even before promotional payout and rakeback

Hey P2 dog....we get it....you don't want to play at WPN.

You have posted it for the 72nd time.

Its old.

think of something else to post.

I actually like the on demand tournaments being part of the SNG race. Whether or not it makes sense for MTTs to give points, it is nice having these on demand tournaments available regularly. Maybe they give too many points (I'm okay with it, but I see others aren't), but I think eliminating them entirely from the SNG race would cause them to go virtually extinct again.

Why is the rake higher for $20, $50, $100 Dons than it is for $15 and $30 Dons? Who cares if the fee numbers are odd, PS and other sites certainly don't.

I have to say I'm very disappointed with how this whole promo worked out. The structure is fine but I was really hoping to see some non-DON traffic. I play 9 man turbos (non-DON) primarily and would also play 18 and 27 man turbo sit and goes (non-DON) if they ran frequently enough for me to 10 table. Sadly they don't. So I'm out of luck and probably won't put in much SnG volume unless non-DON traffic increases.

i wish I could play some 18 mans or even 9 mans for this promo too but I accept the DON and am going to grind them a little .....shouldn't really compete on the leaderboard just mainly glade there is some sort of sng traffic as before I was playing beast tables

My issue is that they aren't sngs, they are poorly structured mtts. If you want to promote regular sngs then make it more points for 18,27, and 45 man sngs. How the promotion is set up it only makes sense for people to flock to DON games. I'm still trying to figure out how a mtt gets 5x the points of a sng in a "sng race". Having late reg and reentries is in no way, shape, or form a sng. Not sure why anything WPN does surprises me anymore.

What would y'all think about a $15 turbo added to the on demand schedule? 5 minute gradual levels 3k chips.

I know there are some here that would not play it, and that's fine -- but TD I don't think adding something like this and seeing player response has any drawback. There are clearly dramatic differences in preferred structures, so adding variety may be the answer.

skip break option please for on demand tournies

wont happen and I will tell you why.

The top MTT regs are playing them all day along with the MTT schedule.

They will want their 5 minutes.

Keeping things the way the were (aborted 2 day old structures) and adding that^ would have been logical. In fact, this is one of those solutions I was reffering to (depending on what we trying to accomplish) Instead...

the solutions was to turn the ON DEMANDS into 13 man SNGs.. so everyone crying about MTT in a SNG contest (even though that was the idea from get go) can stop now.. ON DEMAND= 13 man SNG w/breaks

NOW maybe we can fix this awful tourney this contest gives seats away to.. (LSOP 10 seat)

my proposed solution:
make this a password tourney (like affiliate freeroll are)
email everyone the password that has won the seat.
Notify all players of this through a banner on the main client (like to check inbox )
open registration 2 hours before the LSOP 10 seat starts and allow it through late registration period.

DONE AND DONE..tourney fixed.

***to ensure that the passwords arent used by other people unique passwords can be sent to each person.. and/or a punishment for using someone else's password can be stating in the "enter password box"***
