has Betcoin Poker joined WPN's tourney schedule? has Betcoin Poker joined WPN's tourney schedule?

I was unclear, and I apologize.

The OTHER sites - ACR, BCP, etc require ID to withdraw.

The POINT was - they (the other sites) don't require ID for p2p. Thus you can get around the ID requirement.

Wait, are you saying that you can do p2p between betcoin and wpn?

No, I'm saying you can do p2p on the other sites without sending in ID, so you can get around the ID requirement.

Remember how this side discussion started:
Quote:
I'm just noticing that if they aren't verifying IDs, they're making cheating easier. So I want to know what measures they use to prevent it.
That problem already exists. They don't verify ID's for p2p transfers. So someone who wanted to set up a VPN and play on two accounts in order to cheat doesn't need to go through betcoin to do it. You can do it on the skins now.

Which doesn't, by the way, mean I'm saying we shouldn't be concerned about it - we SHOULD - I just don't think betcoin joining wpn makes the problem bigger either.

Okay got it. That makes sense.

Just to chime in, we do employee a very in depth system to monitor dumping / fraud and players who may try the various methods mentioned above to play under more than one account.

These "cheat" methods have been around since online gaming started and certainly since I have been in the business for the last 13 years, really little has changed in that front in how people try to get past things to benefit themselves and either commit fraud against a site or dumping. whether via P2P or multiple accounts while in play.

Remember with online poker, everything is logged and tracked...we can review everything a player has done since they have joined, this gives us a large data set to monitor players in real time and past data for security and fraud. We will always be fighting people and adapting as new tech comes out and new things are tried just as any other governing body tries to fight back against the "bad guys".

Always try to be one step ahead, if you want to stop a criminal, think like a criminal.

When I first seen all of this, the players with bc in their names I thought maybe that it was just a new staking stable or something. But why play on a bitcoin when u can just play on acr. they r good on cashouts. and this bitcoin thing just seems like to much of a gamble. sry if im coming off as stupid about this. really dumb when it comes to this **** lol.

Bitcoin is only a gamble if you actually mine bitcoin or own bitcoin and do not transfer it into a currency and keep it as bitcoin.

The ROI on bitcoin has passed for everyday people last year, unless you literally rent out a datacenter worth of GPU's, it is not worth it to mine bitcoin, you will lose money on power and cooling and the hardware and not make it back.

Accepting bitcoin like other companies are now doing such as Dell.com or TigerDirect merely allows another method for players to be able to play on our sites.

So if one had issues using their credit card for example, they could get a bitcoin wallet, purchase bitcoins and then buy-in with those instead.
