The new update, at least for some of us, appears to be fatally buggy. Par for the course, with WPN, I guess.

Okay, via pain-in-the-ass elimination, I have found the culprit (viz., the thing which, by changing after reinstall/1st-run, confounds any future attempts to run) -- it's messy, but easier than reinstalling (until actual problem is identified).

After reinstalling, I went to Americas Cardroom folder, rightclick-copied pokerclient ("pokerclient.ini"), and saved it a new folder for safekeeping. Each time before I start poker client, I delete the updated file and paste the original file in its place.

I know this is a rough fix, gotta go... maybe this helps.

Got back to playing again and then it's lagging again, frozen on some tables and some working fine.

Just figured out I can skip the updating (and email/password login) each time by select-all/pasting

[updater1]
update=poker-updater.pokermanagement.com
link=updater.asp?ver=2.0.0.0

[config]
ipserviceport=15668

into the existing "pokerclient.ini" configuration file each time before downloading... BUT: this is getting silly and hairy, so I'll stop.

Now I cant even get the client to open after a fresh download...

I downloaded the client on a PC running windows 7 and it works fine I can see the cashier and close and reopen the client so there is obviously a problem with the update being compatible with windows 10

Hello everyone! If you still having issues with the poker application, please take a screenshot and attach it to the comment section so I can check this with the department in charge.

"AmericasCardroom.exe- bad Image

C:\AmericasCardroom\dbghelp.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an erroe. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support."

This is the error I get when trying to run the client using Windows 10

Okay, guys I got an update

Please do the following steps:

In able to solve this issue please add an exception to the Antivirus and allow inbound/outbound communication in the firewall. I cant give you the exact steps for each Antivirus because there are a lot of them so, please search on google the steps of how to do that. After that, let me know how that went.

+1

Have you tried going to your recycle bin and searching for dbghelp.dll from the last version that was working? Try copying the file and replace it with the one in the new download might work. Maybe?

I had a problem with an update last summer. It somehow changed my compatibility mode from Windows 8. My cashier never would open nor any of the LBs on IE.

This is the only solution that worked for me after already trying anti virus firewall fixes
