I had an issue last week as well, believe it was the same day you were all posting about. I know I was at FT of a tourney, checked with others who said they had gotten disc too.
I know I missed hands, tried to contact custsvc and they were like 'nah, it's you, not us and you finished ITM anyway'. It was just a .55 freezeout, but it's the principle of the matter. Blinds and antes were very high, so if I missed even one good hand, that could have been the difference between 1st and 5th. Figured they'd at least give me a refund of the entry fee or something.
It's 2008 in Michigan as I type this. I was going to play tonight, but I'm too tired to make good decisions. That's probably a good thing. Usually when the site goes down it's working after a few hours, but not always.
That's why I play on two sites.
ACR has tournaments that I like and big prize pools, but it crashes way too often. The other site has never gone down on me over more than 300 tournaments this year--but the player pool and offerings are very limited, and at least half of those are turbos, which I don't play. I play a lot of tournaments with 20 players or less.
In the current climate I think it's best to have money on at least two sites so that you always have options if one of them isn't a good choice for whatever reason.
