Just late-reg'd a micro tournament to see what would happen. Immediately got a notice the tournament has been suspended, then another saying it was cancelled and refunds will be distributed.
now what? we go to sleep, close the client and hope the money is credited right...? like what happens to this hands that just went by when disconnection happened
Earlier this morning (it's 0257 here in Michigan, US Eastern Time Zone) Holdem Manger had a technical problem. The way that they handled that problem could be a lesson for how to handle the issues on your site.
The following was posted in the Holdem Manager support thread at 0106:
Hi Guys
Our apologies.
A server went down and we are working to get it back online a.s.a.p.
Will post an update here when it is resolved.
Thanks
Jim

Server is back up guys.
This rarely happens and sorry for the inconvenience that it caused.

Notice what Holdem Manager did that you don't do.
1. They told the players what was going on.
2. They took the problem seriously. The top man in the organization personally got involved and reported to the players.
3. As soon as the problem was solved the players were again notified.
4. They said, "This rarely happens." On ACR technical problems are common.

Reason: Edited for sentence clarity. No significant content change.
Other than poker cliff having the problem of clicking register and it not working on the 10th, it has been no other reason for this thread to be flooded like it has in the past from what I see? The last disconnect was 5-30? The high five tournament series was smooth? Are we not reporting the good news that the site can function somewhat normal? As far as disconnection to the servers go?
