gonna need a clear explanation why one single tourney was cancelled. Nothing seemed to be wrong on my end.
12-11-2016 , 04:35 PM
if you looked at payouts in the lobby, the tournament only had payout structure up to 771 entrants. So it was locked at paying 99 people up top. It didnt have options beyond that.

Doesnt that money go to pay the chip equity of the people who were up in chips?

I'm not ok with this. I was 3rd in chips. Took a screen shot and everything. All I got back was a refund for my game. Im not ok with this.

Pissed off!

Wow that sucks...

if tourney still has late reg then I believe everyone, including people already eliminated, gets their buyin back. If it's in running state then its some kind of chip equity.

^^This. It's like the tourney never happened.

I had a double stack too. This isn't the first time this has happened during a major OSS Sunday. Attention to detail doesn't seem to be a priority for the tourney set up staff.

i shouldn't have been so salty before, all of the interactions i've had with ACR support have been very good. they will def do what's fair, it would be nice if they had some kind of mechanism for a chip chop when this happens!

They do. Read the tournament rules instead of speculating.

When a tourney is canceled in LR they have no choice but to refund everyone's buy in as though the tourney never happened. You can't not pay the players who busted as they could in theory still re-enter.

What they need is the capability to pause the tourney and fix the pay table, I'm guessing their software isn't capable of this.

What they really need is tourney set up verification internally so they know it's set up right from the start. Accidents happen but come on this is not the first time this exact problem has happened during a major series.

agreed. It comes down to software maintenance. Having a developer on staff/call and making fixes on the back end and then redeploying the software into production.

There is a little-known fine-print sub-clause in the TOS that explains tournaments will be cancelled in the event of an early double up by augie.

i like how no ACR rep has commented on this.. Just another reason to not give this site any money. They are unwilling to actually fix the problems on this site. The CEO makes promises that he has no idea about. They have no clear timetables for any updates. They obviously dont care about customer satisfaction and delivering on things they say they are going to do.
Maybe they should take some business classes to understand the concept of running a credible business. They think they have a good enough share in the U.S. Which is true for the time being, but things are changing. As soon as poker is legalized in more states, the less share ACR is going to have. Instead of pissing around and screwing players over constantly, they should be doing more to keep players and bring new players in.

What caused me to stop playing is; I played over 3 days to unlock the bonus i earned, putting in hours on the cash games, multi-tabling and it showed i had only earned 24.4 points. I contacted live chat, after waiting for 40 minutes, told me my balance was correct. I then sent an e-mail and got no response. so screw em. If thousands of dollars played over hours at the table only accrues me 24.4 points, then i don't want it, and i dont need to play on this bull sh.i.t site anymore.

Look man just say bull**** and we all know what you mean. Wouldn't have got to play if this had not happened and I went pretty deep so I'm sorry to those negatively affected.

I guess ACR kept the money from people that already busted..

Calm your tits. This has happened before and refunds always came the next day. Some real drama queening going on up in here

HOLY ****! You guys are really bitching about this?

Get over yourselves. This site has some hiccups but for the most part they are doing a pretty damn good job serving the US market given the circumstances.

I'm assuming most of the complaints are from newer players, which I guess is to be expected.

Coming from a guy that won his first ACR tournament after the CEO came on his stream. Ever since then you've been defending them in every single post on this site. Your credibility has been lost.

My ACR account is from like 2012. I have been on ACR awhile and seen the whole process. Tournaments getting canceled use to be a daily thing when the site had no traffic. It's become normal for Series these days.
