Anyone know what selection of games they spread down in Melbourne, at the Crown and whatnot? Any mixed games? I've heard they have a game called Manila, which I've never played before, and I'm wondering what kind of stakes they play it for.

Yeh, 3 card Manilla is popular with some of the older crew. Anything from $5 up.

NLHE most popular of course. Starts at 1/2 $60 flat buy in, 2/5 $200....etc. Limit HE starts at 5/10 or 10/20. Other games include stud and PLO and PLO8 (offered at 2/4 on certain days).

Also pokerpro (computer thing) with NLHE and sometimes PLO or PLO8 microstakes .50/1 and 1/2.

Haven't heard of any mixed games... but they might offer something during Dec/Jan during the Aussie Millions.

It's def. the biggest and best poker room in Australia and well worth the visit.

there is also some crazy pineapple from time to time.

I Work at Crown and can tell you that on a normal day they will have 30 tabels(Mon-Thurs) and 50 tables Fri - Sun The majority of games are NL Holdem ranging from 1/2 to 10/20 and throw in a couple of limit games. Couple this with 1 or 2 PLO/Limit omaha games depending on demand and a bigger game like 25/50 PL/NL two or three times a week

Manilla may get one table up on a fri/sat night and unless you speak greek and/or over 90 i would prob give it a miss lol.

You also have your normal tournies/sng you'd expect throughout the week in an establishment of this size.

Now Aussie Millions and other peak time (Melb Champs, Vic Open)
They will open every table available and will have much the same except bigger limits. Now especially during Aussie Millions if you want a game and we spread it you can have it and such games as 300/600 Omaha Hi/Lo. 50/100 PLO 25/50 NL will be available and bigger on request most games 5/10 and above have a flat $25 time charge and the quality of dealers and staff is excellent, waitstaff you'll have to make up your own mind.
