I'm sorry but my English is so bad as I'm not native English speaker.

It happened in the home game, blinds 1/2.Villain has been playing very basically and moderately aggressive.
Eff. Stack was 550ish before starting the hand.
Villain(HJ) raised to 10(5 BBs),button and SB called.
I(BB) re-raised to 45 with A9875 with the intention of taking the pot right now.
The action came back to Villain and he made 4-bet to 90.Two other players folded.
I felt very unhappy because I was shown his strength.I tanked and called finally.
I discarded one,and picked up the "4" -some kind of a hand with 98754.
I planned to check-call line against some reasonable bet,not wanted to call all-in.
I checked and Villain checked back.

Now I guess that ALL of my action was very poor.
Should not to try re-steal(but just call),should not to call against 4-bet(but fold),should not to discard one (but two),should not check after draw.

please advice about the hand, which is preferable play?
Thank you all for reading this thread and make some of suggestion.

Have a Good Play

fold to 4 bet. your hand here should be drawing to slim to a moderately aggressive villain playing straight forward.

drawing two is not optimal because your 2 draw to an 8 is rough (makes straights) and is also not at all nutty draw to an 8, the times u do hit

as played i would check fold to a decent sized bet because u don't beat much aprt from snows

If you bet river, what would call? I suspect lots of hands that beat you and very few that you can beat. So I don't think the river check is bad.

Betting here is fine. You can get called by worse hands, but its very rare that any hand worse than ours is going to bet for value if we check to him.

I really appreciate all of useful posts.
"Fold to 4-bet"Exactly. I had called without a plan after the draw.
I'd have been beaten anyway even if I caught my outs(2,3,4).
So how was my 3-betting before the draw? Was it acceptable?
