these are the spots I wonder about if I can defend and it be profitable, new table vs a random
Unpossible. Please 3 bet and take the lead, you have a 1 card draw to some pretty good hands, even T7 is a decent hand to show down headsup, and he will likely be drawing 2 so if he bricks the first two draws you should win without a showdown.

haha I played worse this morning because of your post, because I didn't really think about it. It has my mind all boggled and I second guess everything.

like 3 betting that hand was my standard but this morning I like thought no duece too loose... haha I love your posts though I do.

so you said that 226 was about a average starting hand for you in the BB right? So what's the bottom of your range I'm hoping to compare mine to someone elses. I'd say my bottom is 775 I think that when it comes to hand selection there is a fine line between too lose and standard (like you have to draw the line somehwere).

Can we raise the button 3 handed with something like 775, 874, like what are some of the worse hands we can open here. I feel like 8xx without a duece is real loose because we can only make an 8.

BVB in BB any wheel card with a 7 or 6 is usually enough for me, though 65, 64. 75 are close. 775 is prob fine, but I don't have enough hands yet to really look at profitability and play low enough I'm rarely facing a tough player.

On the button 82 works fine for me, 874 is ok, 775 is very marginal. Headsup if opponent starts 3 betting way wider because I'm so laggy I'll tighten up so my three card draws are all premium.

il defend vs a sb open with just about any 2 cards 8+ unless they're opening a ******edly tight range like 863+, 72/32.

863+ 72/32+ is ******edly tight from the sb? I'm curious what you consider to be ******edly loose. I think opening terrible terrible hands from the small blind is going to be a mistake for most all players except the handful that play so well post that having a terrible hand and positional disadvantage doesn't matter.

It depends a lot on how often bb is defending and also how well he plays in general... I would usually muck the 26 and the 226 is borderline for me. I know a lot of people play these hands profitably but since I don't play a lot of hu I'm not as comfortable in these spots oop as a lot of people.

yeah they give you tough spots, I know I don't play them nearly as well as I should anywhere close but I choose to put myself in the situations so I can become better and more comfortable. I try to play as much heads up as possible for the time being

This is exactly what I thought after I read the OP. Now that I think about it, though. I may lead into him, I don't want to be drawn out on. Idk if villain knows to bet when cards ahead, but I don't want him thinking he's drawing slim and needs a free shot, ya know?

I think the lead, pat, bet line shows moderate strength, and I'm doing this all day.

come on, everyone bets when they took one and their opponent took 3 and checks to them.

26 is pretty weak, 226 is a good bit better, I'd play both vs a bad player and 226 vs a good player, I open limp a lot but I think I have good reasons, at small stakes open raising is probably better because I'm betting the BB doesn't defend enough hands (he should defend like 86AAA but they won't)
