So this was a weird hand all around for me...... where to begin

He c/r's flop, and then continues drawing......... OK. Then leads turn into a 1cd.......... and continues drawing. WTF.

So I guess my questions are: Should I raise turn, and pat if called and break if 3bet, or call and freeze?? Which BTW I thought I was doing until he drew 1 OTR.

Then when he checks to me OTR my head was so discombobulated I just checked back. Any value in a thin river bet? What on earth kind of hand is this guy repping here?

In hindsight, I think the best line would have been to raise turn and break/pat depending on what he did.

For gods sake someone dissect this hand for me

you played it fine imo. its probably unlikely he calls a river bet, but you could bet it if you wanted to. he isnt gonna c/r now problem is that he may c/c 974/975 but meh

Only if villain is a complete drooler, he is repping a pat hand here. If he will bet the turn unimproved, which he looks like he might, there is some value in a turn raise. But don't bet the river, your hand is face up.

He had aces up, right? Only way his play makes sense.

Oh, that's my second favorite type of player!

Or maybe he thought you could be drawing to a 9 since he drew 3. The fact you made a 9 will further cement his belief.

He's just commenting that villain clearly doesn't know where he is or what he's doing.

Vempele is just saying 3cd => draw to a pair, c/r after first draw and draw 1 => probably aces up, then he finishes hand UI (if villain thought this was high).

WP, don't bet river IMO because I see villains x/r here a non-zero % of the time w/ very strong hands, and I think that % > the % that you get paid off with worse. Heck, a lot will x/c here even when the make an 87.

Ive seen this before. Dont need spoiler to say he has some sort of wheel draw that he now thinks he can bet cos "he has the best draw". I dont really like to play these players cos they luckbox me so hard. I dont really know what to do on the turn since its "obvious" to me he will still bet unimproved, but you cant really raise either. River is a checkback unless he pays off with a T in disgust or something. Id bet a 96 here though.
