5-card draw good place to build a small bankroll? 5-card draw good place to build a small bankroll?

Hi Guys

I normally grind the $1.75, 9 man Sng's, but recently have been keeping myself entertained with a 5 card draw table, only limit 0.10 $0.10/$0.20 (bankroll is only around $20 atm),

im making good progress with the SnG's but find the draw just as profitable,

seems a nice place right now to slowly build a bankroll, not too many difficult spots, and lots of preflop decisions also low variance as people have mentioned.

I love 5cd! Definitely a good bankroll building game.

As it is a low variance game it is probably good for building your roll from $20 and up. I remember I played some a while back, and it was very frustrating.

What is it about it that you like so much? For me it is so frustrating only to have 1 bet round after making a monster, it feels like you cannot get proper value for you hands.

i've been building my BR in 5CD since June, playing in the cash game format ( http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/17...bottom-852228/ ).

all in all, it's a great way to build your BR as long as you have a bit of nouse about yourself.

I like the game multitabling (mostly straight forward simple decisions preflop), you can just wait for the monster hands and seems to be allot of calling stations chasing straights and flushes

The limit format of one bet is frustrating when you hit the nuts on the flop, but it also works in your favour when you play 3 of a kind against a better hand and only loose a limited amount.

I'm loving it right now to learn the game more, maybe ill move to micro cash when i get to around $50?

I just enjoy that I get to play a lot of hands in one hour at one table, and that losing sessions are infrequent.

You can start with a little less, it just depends on how you go normally and how much volume you can get in.

Just make sure that you play rather tight aggressive at first, particularly at FL. You'll find that you will alter your range over several thousand hands at that level, something that comes down to reads.

I think 2-7TD is also a good bankroll building game. Perhaps the variance is worse, but the win-rate against bad players at .10/.20 can be pretty awesome.

Thinking about it now, it's kind of difficult to compare because the win-rates in 5CD are going to be lower per 100 hands because you only have two betting rounds, so more hands in less time...

Anyone know if it's possible to get your BB/hour using PokerHands?

Pokerhands give you your BB/100 hands only. I think the only way to get a profit/hour is to extract the sessions data to excel and fomat the Time colum to give the hours played, then do a quick sum with the Profit column. Pokerhands leaves out a lot of nice features, but hey, its free.
