Cena winning the rumble with a surprise return

I could see Bryan facing HHH at WM with the way the current storyline is going.

think this goes 1 of 2 ways:

ratings/buys/merch maintain or improve with cena out = boreton v bryan closes wrestlemania

ratings/buys/merch drop with cena out = abort button on the program, bryan v h at WM, cena v boreton closes

I wonder how many t-shirts Bryan is selling right now

I'd be cool with a Punk/HHH feud NOW, without HHH being some terrible tweener. Punk/Bryan vs. H/Orton would be worth it for a tag match headlining a B PPV

I think the story has ****loads of potential to be the best thing in a decade but holy crap HHH is going to bury this entire feud & everyone in it and you know it just from how the last segment went last night.

Plus the rest of the show was basically several shades of ****. Good opening talking, lots of wrestling that ranged from watchable to unwatchable never peaking at good then ending on bad closing talking. I get that the show is made for kids, but they dont need to repeat the same ****ing thing ten times in a row from five different people.

Also the WWE champ sucking HHHs dick "I owe you all of this" was all kinds of terrible. Holy **** you are the "apex predator", which you said, and you won the briefcase on your own - if you cant beat Bryan in a legit match after he spent 25 minutes going to war with Cena then what the **** is the point of your existence in this story? Orton at his best face or heel is the guy who says little and ****s your **** up just cos he can cos he doesnt fear anything - his gimmick is he hears voices and does crazy ****. He isnt meant to be a subservient second fiddle to an old guy in a suit and he has no capacity to make that work whilst trying to retain the apex predator gimmick.

Like I say this story has so much potential, but man, I am feeling a Main Event Mafia level bull**** story because HHH loves the spotlight so much and he wants to make dis bizness fun again.

1 month from now we are either glued to the TV watching this unfold or we are wishing Cena was still around.

I could see him continuing his fued with Punk and then taking some time off until right before mania to star his fued with either Rock or Taker. I would love if Heyman joined the new corporation and we got a fued with Brock and Bryan but that would make almost no sense given the HHH/Brock fued from last year.

Agree, never want to see rock in wwe again.

I wish they would get lesner for more matches

I assumed Lesnar is out until the run up to the RR. Maybe as late as WM depending on the contract I guess.

His orginal contract was reported as a 3 match contract ending at wm, which turned out to be correct. His new contract was reported to on the same terms. He already 2 matches since wm so I assume he just has the one left. I guess they could use it sooner and get him on a new deal, If he'd be willing.

We always get carried away half way thru a year that a feud will last till WM. we were picking who zigglers wm feud as WHC would be against like 2 months ago.

However I think Bryan is winning Rumble too. (Or returning Cena)

Re: punk lesnar. I really hope it's two more matches as lesnar is exceeding my already super high expectations of him. But I can't see how they can have punk win the next match, and then have lesnar look credible going into match v rock/taker at wm or round 3 v punk. With the other option of lesnar winning twice makes punk look pretty weak considering he is supposedly a full time Main Eventer till WM when lesnar disappears.

Didn't everyone think Punk was winning the Rumble like two weeks ago? We'll probably go through a half dozen guys by the time we get there. Meanwhile, the writers will come up with something the night before the show.

Yeah predicting something they clearly decide 10m before is hard work. The fact we think its punk or dbry probs means its gonna be the returning fella. Can anyone ever win the RR anymore and believably go for the WHC?

Sure, but I think right now it'd have to involve a face returning from an injury to take on the WHC heel that put him out of action.

I wouldn't HATE this assuming Bryan went over, would also depend on the build

Also, the BEST way to stretch this feud is obviously have Cena turn heel! But, for all you complaining, at least theyre doing SOMETHING somewhat interesting. I mean when was the last time they did anything beyond normal status quo? Walkout? and that was 2 years ago. The lack of anything the least bit surprising or shocking has made this product incredibly pointless the last year or so, so Im interested to see how they roll with this one.

My only observation is that HHH forces himself into pretty much every decent storyline (walkout, summer of punk, this story). Im surprised he didnt come out as the leader of nexus

I also like how we complain about the tag team division being dead then call last night's Raw matches boring when it featured 2 different tag team matches without thrown together teams or the tag champs involved. The division didn't get credibility overnight.

The only things that really sucked were:

Rybully (which was so awful it was almost good)
Lol divas
Pointless Wyatt Family segment

Evening else actually pushed a storyline forward and seems pretty promising

While this is true of course, I'm ok with it in this instance. The Summer of Punk/Walkout stories didn't work well with him in my opinion because he was trying to be a "good" guy while constantly burying everything around him. You had him step in as a face(ish) to fight turning/just turned face Punk while dismissing Punk's ability because of how "skinny fat" he is. You had him during the walkout thing talking about how a broom would give him better matches anyways and having face Punk giddy to wear his blazer. Why were we supposed to give a **** about the things around him if he clearly didn't.

Now we've got a fully heel HHH still burying the people around him, but it works within the confines of the story. He's dismissing the current #1 face as worthy of being a champion. He's doing a whole "come on! you can do it!" how-you'd-talk-to-your-dog thing while Bryan was trying to pull himself into the ring after being attacked 3 on 1 and before getting RKO'd. It makes you want to see Bryan get the better of HHH (not in a general smark 'Bryan >>>> HHH' way, but in the confines of the story).

And I think that the eventual payoff is going to be huge.

What can I say? I'm excited.
