I would probably throw in an entry but am sure I’d be dead money.

I don't even understand the point of the Lashley/Rusev/Lana bit. They're not gonna give it a proper build, there's no belt, they're not gonna use this feud to elevate either wrestler. The way Rusev stood there watching it was almost like they needed to kill time before THE FIEND made his entrance. It made no sense.

My best attempt to understand their mindset: I think they had the idea to put Lana with Lashley, which actually makes sense, since Lashley is so boring and could use a hot valet to get anyone interested in anything he does. But then they felt like they needed to explain Lana leaving Rusev and decided to do a trashy angle that might appeal to the part of the audience that enjoys the soap opera/reality TV stuff. And they maybe felt like Rusev would get non-kayfabe sympathy from the audience (for being involved in such a trashy story) that could lead to fan support and momentum? I tried.

My guess is that Vince is ****ing with Rusev.

Yeah I just think Vince hates the idea of a white blonde American girl being married to a Bulgarian and is ****ing with him. I know that's pretty cynical and ridiculous but it's Vince and Rusev and Lana pretty much confirmed it during the Dolph angle.

I watched bits and pieces of RAW and the commentary team seemed pretty underwhelming.

As long as the commentary consists of anyone who talks acting like they're sports analysts breaking down plays or ****ing news anchors relaying viewers information, they will suck. Somewhere along the line they forgot what the purpose of these commentators is. We don't need technical breakdowns of the match, we don't need them to update us on WWE's ****ing Twitter. They are characters on a television show. Some will watch the "season premiere" of Raw and think, "okay well Vic & Dio were rough but they just need to build chemistry". FALSE (Dwight voice). They have zero chance of being good wrestling commentators using the strategy they used Monday night. Be characters on a wrestling show, build traits that are familiar and relatable/hateable, give the fans a reason to give a **** about what you say whether they like it or not. Graves at his best is the closest they've come to this since JR/King.

Is that good or bad though? Feels like it could be extremes of both.

I got in just as the ladder match was starting and I feel it's a little slow but very good, couldn't expect more. Graves is very good.

edit - Just ended, very good stipulation match imo.
