We're doing it again! Our REIGNING, DEFENDING, UNDEFEATED, UNDISPUTED, WWE PPV SURVIVOR CONTEST CHAMPION is... IT DOESN'T MATTER WHO IT IS (I can't remember anyway). Can anyone dethrone him this time?


Rules
For every WWE main roster Pay Per View (so no NXT), you will select a wrestler. If your choice wins their match you survive. If your choice does not win, you are out. You cannot select the same wrestler twice for the duration of the contest. Last person standing wins.

Advancing

• You only advance when your wrestler wins.
• Wins will be determined by the official result at the conclusion of the show. In the event that a decision is reversed/overturned on another day, it will not affect the contest.
• In the event of a double count out, double DQ, or any other situation in which neither wrester wins, people who picked either wrestler will be eliminated (as they didn't win).
• You have a wrestler for the entirety of the PPV. If they wrestle more than one match, they must win them all to advance*.
• In the event a wrestler has their match scratched from a Pay Per View or moves to the preshow, all people selecting that wrestler will be eliminated. The selected wrestler would not have won a match at the Pay Per View.
• In the event of a match restarting, the final decision will be the one that counts.
• Preshows will not count.
• In the event everyone left loses at the same Pay Per View, all players still alive before than Pay Per View will advance (The wrestler they chose will be unable to be picked again).

Playing
All you have to do to enter is send me a PM with your selection for the Pay Per View prior to it starting. I will do my best to keep the thread updated with the official card as events come around, but it is ultimately your responsibility to know the official card prior to your selection.


All picks are due at 8pm Eastern on the day before the PPV.


I'll do my best to also post a spreadsheet as the event starts for maximum sweats.





*The exception to this rule is the Royal Rumble match at the Royal Rumble PPV. For this event, you may select a person that has a different match on the card and if they enter the Royal Rumble Match their result won't count there. This exception pertains to only the official Royal Rumble Match and not any other secondary match that wrestler would have on the card.

Oh, that "I'll do my best to keep the thread updated with the official card" thing in the rules is bull**** by the way; we're stepping this up to Medium difficulty. Do your own damn research.

Just letting everyone know that picks to DWetz are due in 75 minutes.

For how ****ty SummerSlam shaped up, there are sure a lot of matches that could go either way.

Brock/Taker: Likely ****ery that gets one dq'ed but who knows who.
Cena/Rollins: Kinda the same except they have Sheamus to do the ****ery.
Orton/Sheamus: Sheamus should win, but much like when Orton beat Rollins, he could again beat the MitB holder to set up more lame matches
Divas: Haven't been following, but it seems unpredictable because women, amirite?
Dolph vs Rusev: idk. I assume Rusev is going over.
Owens vs Cesaro: Would suck if Owens lost but they're building Cesaro and he just got a new t-shirt
Ryback vs Show vs Miz: I think Ryback is the favorite to go over, but I could see Miz going over as well.
Dust vs Neville w/partners: Neville probably wins, but I could see Barrett/Dust winning as well.
Wyatts vs Reignbrose: Would make sense for Wyatts to go over here via ****ery with a 3rd member and drawing this out until HiaC where there's a final match where Sting (lol) or somebody else randomly tags w/Shield. I just don't see Reignbrose losing at SummerSlam, sadly.

In the end I picked CENA WINS LOL.

Oh **** did I miss this? Haven't watched for a while but after a quick look at the card there is an easy pick this month imo.

I've never even heard of the guy but assuming he's done celeb so is gonna win. Although if taker at Wrestlemania wasn't allowed then one-off celebs shouldn't really be allowed either (but both should be allows imo).

I have no problem with him not being allowed except that we should have known about it before the voting finished.

What is the reasoning behind pre-shows not counting? These days matches get bumped to the pre-show with no warning the day it airs. That's not really fair when the picks are due the day before. For example, sites are reporting that the tag title match is rumored to be on the pre-show but it hasn't been made official yet.

Oh yeah I'm obviously not advocating he be disallowed now (and I also don't expect to be allowed in as the deadline was clear and i'm just a slow pony but figured it was worth a shot.)
