Yeah, this is what I was thinking

Cena beating rusev three times in a row would be strange. Also think they see this as an opportunity to get the belt off Cena, which, as good as the open challenge has been, has to happen eventually.

I can't honestly say he's the safest pick but it will be a fun fade for me. I probably would've gone with Wyatt otherwise

I'm surprised no one picked Wyatt. It's basically a free pick because he's rarely the favorite in any feud. Ryback is just being used to give him some credibility after losing to Taker.

Wouldn't be too surprised at some sort of finish like

Shellshock --> Ryback attempts pin --> Harper and Rowan run in to attack Ryback, officially reunite Wyatt family, get Bray DQ'd

Then they keep up the beatdown for long enough that it doesn't feel like Ryback won the match, and functionally keeps the feud going.

In the event this happens, the final result will be what matters and not the specific falls of Big E. He would have participated in the match as a member of New Day so - similar to say a classic survivor series match - his result will be based on his teams result.

This differs from the other situation where Big E never participates in the match as a member of New Day.
