Angle not being in WWE right now really is a a shame. Even with all his problems he's still the best current wrestler in the world. A Punk/Angle fued would be better than Punk/Jericho imo.

Here's one of my favorite TNA matches ever. During TNA's Glory Era before Hogan and co ruined it.

Yes I'm a spot monkey fan.

That HBK / Razor match was spectacular. Just rewatched it and it gave me proper goosebumps.

Why can't we get matches like that these days. Wasn't a redic spot fest, no blood, all very PG but better than any ladder match i've seen in years!

puro match of the day:
after introducing misawa and jumbo if you didn't know who they were i'm adding in two other important guys from this period: Akira Taue and Toshiaki Kawada. Taue is a pretty standard wrestling, nothing flashy, nothing special, and the weakest wrestler from this period but always in the huge matches. Kawada is the young guy who's trying to break out of misawa's shadow and make a name for himself and is one stiff bad ass mofo.

Puro match of the day:

Tsuruta/Taue/Fuchi vs Misawa/Kawada/Kikuchi on 8/18/90: Here we add Fuchi who is an old timer, standard wrestler and Kikuchi who I can only describe as a scrappy 1-2-3 Kid. Main story here is Tsuruta vs Misawa. Misawa beat Tsuruta in June and they have a rematch coming up on 9/1. This is the only match I've ever rated >***** (I have not seen all the goodness that is AJPW, yet).

OK, gonna do some work on this thread. I'll start with my tribute to Bret Hart ...

Bret Hart vs. Mr. Perfect, King of the Ring 1993 semifinals
I actually think this is better than their Summerslam 1991 match.

Bret Hart vs. British Bulldog, Summerslam 1992
For a long time, this was my favorite match ever.

Bret Hart vs. Owen Hart, Summerslam 1994
The epic Wrestlemania X opener is already posted, so I'll add one of the best cage matches ever.

Bret Hart vs. Shawn Michaels, Wrestlemania 12
Um, yeah.

There's a couple others I could post but I'll keep it to those.

Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Jericho, Wrestlemania 19

Shawn Michaels vs. Undertaker, Wrestlemania 25
The best of all their matches (second-best, for my money, is Hell in a Cell at Bad Blood 1997). First two parts are from same poster, third part is from different poster, best I could do.

Shawn Michaels vs. Triple H, Summerslam 2002
Miss four years, don't miss a beat!

Shawn Michaels vs. Triple H, Hell in a Cell, Bad Blood 2004

Ric Flair vs. Ricky Steamboat, Chi-Town Rumble 1989
Start at about the 6-minute mark of the first video:

Ric Flair vs. Ricky Steamboat, WrestleWar 1989
The third match of the trilogy. I couldn't find the entire best 2 of 3 falls match that was the second in the trilogy at Clash of the Champions. Sorry. Start the first video at about 7 minutes.

And a few other great matches off the top of my head:

Kurt Angle vs. Chris Benoit, Royal Rumble 2003

Kurt Angle vs. Shane McMahon, King of the Ring 2001

Mick Foley vs. Randy Orton, Backlash 2004

TLC tag title match, Wrestlemania 17

Randy Savage vs. Ricky Steamboat, Wrestlemania III

Here's some CM Punk awesomeness, sorry but I could only find the full matches of these on websites other than youtube.

CM Punk/ Samoa Joe Hour Long Match

CM Punk/Rey Mysterio/Eddie Guerrero: this match was right after WWF bought WCW and before Rey was signed. Eddie was away from the company because he had just gotten a DWI.

Misawa vs Kawada - 6/3/94. Many people consider this the greatest match that has ever happened. Kawada and Misawa have developed quite a rivalry over the past year after Kawada sided with Taue because Misawa chose Kobashi to ride his coattails. Kawada has yet to pin Misawa in a tag match or singles match. Can he do it here?

I have 16 Misawa vs Kawada matches on my channel and they're all worth checking out. This one and one from 6/6/97 got 5* from dave meltzer. Spoiler for 6/6 match, it ends in a legit KO, it is great but it doesn't top the one I posted here.

Best RR match ever. The promo by Flair at the end is so awesome.

My fav has to be the first War Games match ever. Except AJPW, no multi-man match comes close to the level of fan reaction this match had live(which includes the Calgary Stampede match in the WWF). Jim Ross was at his VERY best here:

I rented the 87 Bash so many times just to see that match. Amazing.

Not one of the best ever but just watched this again and this match is very good. Another puro match but from NJPW this year. A fast paced match that has one of the best wrestlers in the world atm (Nakamura) and has an awesome crowd.

Mooro, have you seen the Flair/Race cage match? is it worth a look? i'm tempted but it looks awfully long.

Starrcade 83? The build up to this match is legendary, the match is good but I guess a slow pace (like usual for a Race match).

Oh, nice thread here, well I might as well participate.

Royal Rumble 2004, it just felt like a good amount of that year's Wrestlemania matches had its building blocks during that RR.
