However, if forced to do so, it would probably be Rebels, ironically, because all the main characters for the show were created specifically for it.
One gift that keeps on giving with everything they create is the original John Williams score from the original trilogy. Truly masterful stuff; I felt that way long before I really ever took a significant interest in Star Wars.

I've already had several moments in Rebels where I wasn't sure how interested I was in an episode, and then there's just a quick smattering of the Imperial March as someone/something from the Empire makes an appearance, and...

I finished season one of Rebels and watched the beginning of season two.

Late in season one, I began to really wonder how much longer I could stick with it. A good season finale helped pique my interest. After an excellent two-part season premiere of season two...yep, I'm hooked.

To be fair to the first dozen episodes of the show, none of them were truly bad; none would rank alongside the worst Clone Wars episodes. It was just a consistent stream of mediocrity...until it wasn't.

This is a fair assessment. The Fulcrom reveal really started things moving in a better direction on this show. Can't promise a home run with every episode, but it far better than S1 overall from here on out.

Yeah, I mean Clone Wars had more than its share of misses even after it hit its stride, so I didn't expect that Rebels wouldn't have the same. I never went into this show expecting to like it as much as I liked Clone Wars, really. If I could like it 90% as much then that would be a win.

Rebels S02E19 was a droid-centric episode and was quite good. I'm forced to no longer slander all droid-centric episodes in the same way.

While I remain a bigger fan of Clone Wars and don't particularly expect that to change, I will say that Rebels episode quality is a lot more consistent. It continues to be the case, at least so far, that the weakest Rebels episodes are better than the weakest Clone Wars episodes. There really haven't been any episodes that I grade really badly.

I vaguely remember that ep even after reading a synopsis.

Maybe the larger swings in CW were due to the fact that the show had a much larger cast to serve. You had two entire sides of a war and every group they entailed (Clones, Jedi, Sith, Senators, Separatists, etc...), whereas Rebels is about one small group of characters. Every story is about someone from that group.

I don't want to overhype anything, so let's see where you're at after a few more eps, at the end of season 2. Hopefully, you'll find it's all it's "cracked up" to be.

I feel like it was more that they just didn't have enough good ideas to fill entire 20+ episode seasons, so we end up with filler episodes that you could safely lift out of the series without losing anything.

The last couple of episodes of Rebels season 2 were great, two of the best of the series so far, though I still gather they may have done more for you than they did for me.

Couldn't resist the "cracked" pun.

Difficult to talk about w/o spoilers, but that last confrontation, where a major character realizes what they're up against...major turning point for the series for me. Just watched it that part again on YouTube. Still get some goose bumps.

Not that they’re the most dynamic characters ever written, but they did manage to get me attached to them along the way. Ezra is the hardest one to like.

That's a pretty popular opinion. I was kinda lukewarm on him and I usually hate the teenage/pre-teen kids on most shows. If you have problems with him though, Bad Batch's Omega is really going to be impossible.

BTW, I don't know if you knew this, but Zeb was created from the original art for Chewbacca.

I'm finally getting back into the Bad Batch, and am pleasantly surprised to find that Omega doesn't annoy me anymore.

He just won NFC Offensive Player of the Month. Nothing says "canceled" like people voting to give you awards right after your so-called cancellation. Of course, with someone like Aaron Rodgers it's REALLY unsurprising that he would conflate being criticized with being "canceled."

Also makes me feel slightly bad for Olivia Munn and how garbage her exes have been between Captain Cancel Culture and John Mulaney

Rodgers is also the current MVP favorite.

I did not know this about Olvia. I hope it doesn't crush her, but I may have to drop her a few spots on my "list". Similar to Liv Morgan when I found out about her dating history.

Considering wagering on certain college teams is not legal where I live, I just realized that from 5 New Year's Eve bowl games, we're now down to just the two championship games tomorrow. NYE not loaded w/ bowl games just doesn't feel right...even if they are totally meaningless.

I’m just glad my team (WSU) seems to be en route to actually play tomorrow. The need to bring in a new opponent at the last minute didn’t feel likely to work out.

Just read C.Michigan is traveling 400 miles to get to this game. Seems like it would be somewhat of a disadvantage on top of not having prepared for a different team (which I guess is a wash with both teams being in that spot).

I believe their school is going from a $650,000 payout to play a Barstool-sponsored game only available via internet stream to $3.5 mil to play on CBS on NYE. I think they have to see the game as a win regardless.

Hondo Ohnaka is an overused character. For some reason I feel the need to stop short of calling him "bad," even though I find myself sighing when I see that he's going to be featured.

I spoiled myself on the reveal from S03E10 well in advance when I was poking around about something else, but it was still interesting to see it get built after I knew what awaited.

Still enjoying the show a fair bit. I think that Hera is my favorite character of the main core.

Hondo - no argument.

Spoiler - probably something you would have seen coming anyway. I don't remember being very surprised by that one.

I think you've just hit the point where Rogue One was released (between S3E10 & E11), though the actual timelines of the show and movie won't intersect for a while yet.

Yeah, even as an oblivious TV-watcher I'm sure you're right that I would have known. They pretty much devoted an entire prior episode to setting that up, then dropped a really obvious follow-up prior to that episode.
